About Us

Armstrongs Independent Funeral Service is a funeral director in Bury St Edmunds, which was started in 1997 by Nick Armstrong with help from the Prince's Trust. It has since grown from Nick working by himself to a team of 12, including Nick's wife Davina.

Winning awards for their level of care, and continually investing in their team, vehicles and premises, Armstrongs Independent Funeral Service is a truly caring funeral director, who are proud of their hard-won reputation. Now entering their 25th year in business Armstrongs are big enough to cope but still small enough to care and are immensely proud of the personal touch that they bring to all of the funerals they arrange.

Whether your loved one wanted a traditional religious funeral service, a contemporary celebration of life, or anything in between, Armstrongs Independent Funeral Service can help you plan the perfect ceremony. Armstrongs have an abundance of local knowledge and have served many families at their worst possible time with pride and care for many years. With Armstrongs, families will have the funeral they feel best reflects their loved ones wishes, be it simple, elaborate or something unusual. You will be treated with respect and compassion, and helped to arrange a meaningful and personal farewell.

Armstrongs Independent Funeral Service in Bury St. Edmunds can be contacted 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Call Armstrongs Independent Funeral Service now to find out more about the services they provide and begin planning the perfect funeral arrangements for your loved one.

What are disbursements?

Disbursements are additional costs for a funeral service that are paid to third-parties, such as florists, celebrants and burial fees. The funeral director will usually charge you for them and then pay the suppliers themselves.

How can I get help with funeral costs?
