We would like to thank Katie for all her kindness, care and professionalism she showed to Glyn and I when planning and undertaking my Mums funeral. She made this really difficult time easy by her calm, kind manner and nothing was too much trouble.
When Mum died James & Leon attended to her in the nursing home in a very respectful and professional way.
The funeral went really smoothly and Katie & her colleagues put us all at ease and helped us on this difficult day. All of them seemed to really care about what they were doing and wanted to do it well.
Overall we were so pleased that we chose Crescent Funeral Services in Langport and we would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone who is recently bereaved.

Simon and all the team at Crescent were kind and caring and dealt with Mum's wishes with a minimum of fuss. She would have been so pleased with how the funeral went - especially the horses and the huntsman sounding 'gone to ground' for her. As an 'insider' family, we were really touched that the whole team turned out to support us, especially my husband, their colleague, and for us to be recipients of the 'Crescent way'. Thanks, all!

Dad & I had never organised a funeral before. Mum had been suffering a long time with alzheimers. People around us did not really know her. Family members were in The Midlands and the USA. We were unable to contemplate a funeral anyway - watching the coffin disappear behind a curtain, feeling the need to speak in front of others and maybe not cry too much, be brave. We stepped into CFS and were met by the warmest heart, the friendliest face, the most perfectly empathic person we could have imagined. She instantly knew what we needed and made a perfect plan for us. We simply said our farewells in a short, terribly sweet and incredibly emotional moment at their Chapel of Rest. We had a space to put some personal items. We were able to play a film (kind of visual eulogy we had made) and our speeches were spoken or played on a speaker. Just me, Dad, my husband, sons and (we hope) future daughter in law. The next day she accompanied Mum to the crematorium, we were spared the suffering but our thoughts were with her and the music in our heads. I could never imagine that such a traumatic experience which we were both dreading and had felt incapable of participating in, would give us so much joy looking back on it. We did her proud. It was perfect. Katie, who received us and managed the entire service from first meet to the delivery of the ashes today was simply amazing, perfect. When Mum died, from my home abroad I felt so lost saying frequently - I just need a big sister to help me out here. Katie became our person and though we scattered part of Mum's ashes on Sunday and our dealings with her and all the other wonderful staff (Robert & James?) will be over, they will remain with us. They are part of what made this goodbye special. Dad and I cannot thank you and your team enough. I hope with all my heart that I will not need your services again for a long time but when I do, I hope you are all still there. Jules, Terry and family and Mum x

Having never organised a funeral before, we had the most beautiful service for our dad.  I was not looking forward to the day at all given it was bringing an end to our dear dads life but everything was perfect and weirdly I enjoyed it, all our guests commented and said we did dad proud, it was just so right.
The team at Crescent made this possible, Bex made it incredibly simple and guided us throughout. She was patient and understanding, our dear mum has dementia & my sister and I were able to visit in the morning and make the decisions for dads service. then we bought mum in the afternoon and Bex went thru the simpler decisions of flowers, hymn & music choice with mum enabling her to be a part of it.
She also offered and supported mum when visiting dad in the chapel of rest, my sister and I sat in the peaceful lounge next to the chapel so we were there when mum came out, there was no rush, mum was given plenty of time to go through that process of saying goodbye. 
We felt at ease when discussing the process, Bex answered all our questions, nothing was too much trouble.
The florist and celebrant were recommended from the Crescent and they were both amazing, our mum chose sunflowers & freesia’s, the arrangement was stunning, little bees had been added to the sunflowers & Gerber's, it was so personal. We chose a garland to go around the coffin and again, it was simple stunning. 
Beverly Symmonds was our celebrant and she too was amazing, at the service, she spoke as though she knew our dad.  

James & the drivers were also brilliant, we were able to take mums wheelchair & frame. James put us at ease as again it was a very surreal and new experience for us.  The cars were beautiful. And the drivers chatted with us when we instigated the conversation. 
Honestly the whole team at Crescent were truly wonderful and know their job well. I have no problem at all with recommending their services. Thank you to you all.

Your caring manner and close liaison with the church made a difficult time so much easier to cope with. Many people commented on how spectacularly beautiful the flowers were on Dad’s coffin. Everyone involved was so helpful during this very emotional time. James and Simon dealt with the whole process so efficiently that we found time and energy to appreciate the onset of spring. Rebecca, in the Langport office, was also very understanding in dealing with our queries. Crescent Funerals provided a first class service in reducing the stress in our loss and all the family and friends who attended the cremation were very grateful for the respect and care given to us but especially to my mother.
