The team at Graham Ward are all amazing, respectful, and go all out to help you have you feel at ease in the worst situation.
Over the last year they have helped with both our Dad and Mum, with our Dad we were like dear in the headlights, never having to do it before. The team went above and beyond and never, we felt helped and relieved. There is no pressure on anything, and if you don’t see anything you want to include, they will go out of their way to help you get it. 
Our mum requested a home visit to plan her own funeral, nothing was too much. Just like our mum requested Mark (celebrant) delivered everything perfectly, capturing our mum’s personality to a T from a few stories he had been told. We as a family will forever be grateful to the whole team for helping with our final send off’s for the two most important people in our lives.

Graham Ward, in my case Chris, made coping with a very sad and stressful time so much easier right from the start.
From helping compassionately with all the decisions to be made for the actual day, the staff on the day, the celebrant Mark, through to the final scattering of the ashes. It was exactly what I and my family needed and thank them all wholeheartedly.

We recently entrusted Graham Ward Funeral Directors in Hucknall with the care of our beloved 9-year-old grandson, Kyson, and I cannot express enough gratitude for the compassion, creativity, and respect they showed our family during such a heartbreaking time.




From the very beginning, Chris and his team went above and beyond to make Kyson’s farewell truly personal and unforgettable. Knowing how much Kyson loved Star Wars, they arranged the most incredible tribute — with stormtroopers respectfully leading the procession and a beautifully themed Star Wars van following the hearse, playing the music he adored. It was both moving and magical, and perfectly captured his spirit.




What could have been an overwhelming day was handled with such care, professionalism, and genuine kindness. Every detail was thoughtfully considered, and nothing felt too much trouble. They gave us a send-off that truly honoured Kyson’s life and brought comfort to everyone who attended.




We will be forever grateful to Chris and the entire team for creating such a meaningful and memorable tribute. Thank you for helping us say goodbye in a way that felt so special to Kyson.

A complete five star service - from the start of the phone call in the early hours to come and look after our mum to the end of the day of the funeral, Graham Ward Funeral Directors could not have been more helpful or professional. Chris was compassionate and accommodating to our every request, dealing promptly with any query we raised. On the day everything ran smoothly and nothing was too much trouble - we had great confidence that all would run as it should, and it did. Graham Ward Funeral Services took the greatest of care of our beloved sister and daughter, gentling guiding us through the practicalities and legalities with kindness, compassion and reassurance.

At a time when our hearts were breaking and we didn’t know what next, Chris was there to help and explain, reassure and then explain again at the right moments because we forgot. 

Chris made everything go perfectly, he took the stress away, nothing was too much trouble, from taking over the design & printing of our bespoke Order of Service when things went array our side, to transporting the flowers after the funeral to an alternate location, the attention to detail was simply perfect. 

This was the 2nd time we’d used Graham Ward, the first was 10 years ago for dad, dad was in a nursing home at the time and we’d had time to think about what we wanted, we had a religious service in a church and a burial.

For our sister, she passed way too early in hospital and we didn’t have time to think or plan. Chris arranged our bespoke none-religious service, which included a fantastic celebrant who captured the very heart and nature of our sister, a bespoke photo slide show (which we created but Chris ensured was perfect & could/would have arranged) and a cremation. 

I couldn’t recommend Graham Ward Funeral Services more highly and when we next need his services I wont hesitate to use them.
