A J Wakely & Sons involved me in all the planning for the funeral and performed all introductions to the other people / organisations who were to be involved, with explanations as to their functions etc.
It's not everyday one is responsible for arranging a funeral so A J Wakely's professionalism, together with their help, guidance and information was most welcome and at no time did I feel under any pressure to "spend more".
The funeral itself went as planned and without mishap of any kind.

I had known of Wakelys and their excellent reputation for some years - so recently sought their help for my Mother's funeral. This wasn't straight forward, due to various geographical locations involved, but everything ran smoothly from that very first phone call.

Our heartfelt thanks to Simon Wakely, our Funeral Director, for his warmth, kindness and constant support; to Catherine at the Sherborne funeral home for her compassion and understanding; and to Fran at Lyme Regis for her lovely welcome and administrative help.

We must also thank all the other staff at Wakelys who were charming, respectful and dignified.

This wonderful team made a very sad and difficult time much easier to bear.
We are extremely appreciative.

My Dad passed away 3 years ago and the team handled everything with compassion and care.

My mum just passed away so I didn’t hesitate to use their services again. Again, such kindness and efficiency and would highly recommend Chris, Fran and the team.

From the very start of the process, AJ Wakely were exceptional in the service provided. Special acknowledgement must go to Tim who was my main point of contact for the funeral arrangements for my mother. Tim was extremely helpful, guiding us through every step of the process and offering advice, options and solutions to our numerous questions promptly, he was also very considerate and kind in his approach and made what was a very difficult time less painful for us but taking on the management of many of the tasks that were required. He was also able to recommend the perfect Celebrant for us (NaomiJane). In addition to Tim, communication with the office (particularly Fran) was dealt with extremely efficiently. I cannot recommend AJ Wakely highly enough for providing such a professional and respectful service. Thank you to all involved.

Greg Scott was kind, professional and thorough. All of which was appreciated. He trusted my instincts and my own professionalism to put together a simple, bespoke graveside laying to rest that was utterly appropriate for my sister and those who mourned her. Having not done a funeral at Dorset Downs natural burial ground before he took the time to make a recce visit so that he and his team could be confident on the day.
Everything went seamlessly - both in the run up to the funeral on on the day. Thank you
