Oliver J. Knapman Funeral Service, Teignmouth, is the only independent, family run funeral directors in the Teignmouth and Dawlish area. Serving the local community since 2018, The Knapman Family are very much involved in the day-to-day running of the business. Oliver is an experienced funeral director who will endeavour to provide you and your family with the care, reassurance and guidance that is needed at what is a very difficult time, and will strive to deliver continuity alongside a personal service.

Oliver J. Knapman offer an extensive range of services to suit all needs, from low-cost funerals and direct cremation to fully tailored, bespoke funerals that are specific to a family’s requirements. Oliver believes that families should have choice on as many elements of the funeral as possible to ensure the service is as unique as the life that is being celebrated.

You will have an extensive range of coffins and caskets to choose from, from traditional wooden coffins to environmentally friendly options such as willow and untreated pine coffins. There is a similarly large choice of transport. Oliver J. Knapman Funeral Service have their own fleet of hearses and limousines, and also offer options such as horse drawn hearses, classic Daimler hearse and even a Land Rover Defender hearse.

The office at 22 Brunswick Street is located in a historic part of Teignmouth. It has an arranging room and a private chapel of rest so that you can say your final goodbye in peace and quiet. A car park across the road gives easy access to those families arriving from outside of Teignmouth.
