About Us

F. D. Hall & Son Ltd is an independent funeral director near Liskeard. They have been helping families in South East Cornwall to arrange funerals since 1948.

Esther Hall is the third generation of the Hall family to run the Liskeard funeral home, and her dedicated team of professionals are ready to assist in every aspect of funeral arrangements. They welcome all faiths and denominations and people of no faith, who would like a non-religious funeral.
F. D. Hall & Son Ltd will arrange all types of funeral including traditional burial, cremation, green burial or a celebration of life at a venue of your choice. They offer coffins and caskets made from a wide variety of materials, including traditional wooden coffins, cardboard and a wide range of eco-friendly coffins in natural materials such as willow or banana leaf.

They have traditional hearses and limousines and can also offer alternative hearses such as a Harley Davidson trike, VW Campers and horse-drawn carriages. Memorial items can be arranged including personal fingerprint keepsakes, jewellery and memory boxes. They also offer in-house bereavement support.

Their premises in Upton Cross, Liskeard, has a peaceful chapel of rest in which you can say your final goodbyes and spend time with your loved one. There are comfortable consultation rooms where you can discuss funeral arrangements in the privacy of their modern funeral home. Alternatively, if you prefer, an appointment can be made for a funeral director to visit you at home.

    Excellent service from start to finish. The funeral was pre-paid and already organised by mum before which made it easier. Esther organised everything and kept us updated and made some good suggestions on how to make the funeral be as good as it was.

    One family supporting another at the most difficult time. Everything was dealt with calmly and with the utmost compassion and respect. A very professional team, who ensured every smallest detail was exactly as we wanted. The services of Grace as the celebrant was a terrific bonus and created a clever balance between a religious service and a straight crematorium event. I know we're biased, but it was the best funeral we've ever attended....and I didn't think it was possible to say that about someone I loved so much. Thank you for everything.

    Right from the initial meeting F. D. Hall and Son  provided reassurance, advice and comfort with a high level of professionalism.
