Opened in 1937, Weymouth Crematorium has been providing cremation services in Dorset for generations. Set on a 6 acre site, shared with Weymouth Cemetery, the crematorium is located near the town centre.
The chapel at Weymouth Crematorium Is large, with space for 100 people seated, and approximately 20 more standing. There is an electric organ as well as a digital music system provided by Wesley Media, so that you can play any music that you wish during the service. There is webcasting technology available (which you should arrange in advance) and the service can be recorded to a CD or DVD.
The 6 acres of space at the crematorium include large lawned Gardens of Remembrance. In these areas you can choose from a range of memorial options for your loved one. The gardens themselves are planted with roses, trees and shrubs next to which you can place memorial plaques. Other memorial options include benches, stone plaques, tree plaques and lines in the Book of Remembrance. The book is housed in its own room, where you can also place floral tributes.
Weymouth Crematorium is built on a single level, and is fully wheelchair accessible. There is car parking for 44 vehicles on site.
