My family has used Abbey many times over the years and has always found them very professional, but also very kind.For my Uncle Noels funeral in August,they helped us through each stage of the funeral process.
The service was exactly as we wished and the care and attention given to all aspects was exemplary ..
We would recommend Abbey in a heartbeat .. they really are a lovely team.. thank you all..

Arranging a funeral for a loved one  is heartbreaking and the staff at Abbeys helped to make this task as easy as possible. They treated my family and I  with the utmost care, respect and compassion. Sarah was so helpful guiding my family and I through this very difficult time. I cannot recommend Abbeys highly enough, they are all a most caring and professional team.

Everyone at Abbey was wonderful. They took all the stress off of our family at such a distressing time and were so helpful in finding a marvellous lady to do the flower memorials and dealing with the church and vicar arrangements.

Abbey Funeral Services organised my late mother's funeral arrangements. As we are a small family, we couldn't face a big service in the Crematorium. A direct cremation was decided upon but we needed a company with a High St presence and excellent reviews who stood by their ethos. They communicated with us throughout. We wanted peace of mind that my mother was picked up from hospital and was delivered safely to their Chapel of Rest where we could all go and visit her and pay our respects. We had the comfort of knowing she was safe in their hands all the time, which lessened the trauma of it all. My mother was never alone and with Abbey all the way to her final Resting Place. AFS took all the stress out of what was already a very emotional time. We highly recommend them.

Karen from Abbey Funerals carried out all the arrangements for Vivs funeral.
The first and main thing she gave us was her time and support taking away the stress and worry. She removes any taboo about death and just made the situation copeable. The whole team were available to answer questions and actually felt like part of our family. Choosing a funeral director when a loved one has died is a unique experience. You are looking for a professional service, where everything is going to run smoothly, but also where the staff are compassionate and understanding. Whilst cost is a consideration, this is one occasion that people are unlikely to shop around.
My sister and I were planning and organising the funeral in accordance with our late brother's wishes but, as my sister lives abroad, ultimately it was down to me to choose an organisation. I had met Chris Parker through the Friends Together bereavement group and so we made an appointment with Abbey Funeral Services.
From the moment we met Sharon, all the arrangements felt like they were in safe hands. No request was too small or difficult and the contact we had between meeting Sharon and the funeral was perfect - we felt everything was what we had chosen and updates given along the way were regular but not intrusive. It was Abbey who recommended a celebrant to us and both my sister and I felt that she was a perfect fit. I'm sure a part of that was Sharon listening to us talk about our brother and his character and recommending somebody who could offer support and understand the service we required.

Abbey took care of everything for us, even sorting the finances with the funeral plan my brother had in place. Their professionalism and compassion meant that on the day of the funeral, all we were required to do was grieve for our brother and pay our last respects.

I would have absolutely no hesitation in recommending Abbey Funeral Services to anybody.

I cannot fault the service that Abbey provided to my sister and I at such a difficult time. The service throughout the process was exceptional. James in particular who dealt with the  majority of the organisation was such a kind person to deal with.
Also the pallbearers on the day who were again first class. Thank you so much for doing such a great job for my dear Mum

Professional, compassionate and well run company.  Staff are very friendly and knowledgeable and nothing is too much trouble. They are discreet when they need to be but always available when needed and very caring. Would highly recommend them.
