Funeral Guide – Partner Funeral Director Terms & Conditions

Effective 1 July 2025

These Terms are binding on any use of the Services and apply to You from the time that Funeral Guide agrees to provide You with access to the Services.

Funeral Guide reserves the right to amend these Terms at any time, effective upon the amending the Terms for Funeral Directors on the Website. Without prejudice to the foregoing, Funeral Guide will make reasonable efforts to communicate any such changes to You via email. It is likely these Terms will change over time. It is Your obligation to ensure that You have read, understood and it shall be deemed that you have done so and that you agree to the most recent Terms available and the most recent Terms shall apply to each and every transaction between the Parties thereafter unless you inform Funeral Guide in writing that you disagree with such amendment and that you are terminating your contract with Funeral Guide on the terms herein.

  1. Definitions Term

Definition

Acceptable Use Policy

Funeral Guide’s Acceptable Use Policy for the Website. 'Agreement'

means this agreement, the Schedule and such other documents as are incorporated by reference to it.

'Confidential Information'

means all information exchanged between the parties to this Agreement, whether in writing, electronically or orally, including the Service but does not include information which is, or becomes, publicly available other than through unauthorised disclosure by the other party.

'Data'

means any data, including text, photos, graphics, audio, and video, inputted by You or with Your authority into the Website.

'Data Controller'

means Data Controller as defined in the GDPR. 'Data Processor'

means Data Processor as defined in the GDPR. 'Data Subject'

means Data Subject as defined in the GDPR. ‘Fees”

means Subscriptions, for Training or other services, or other fees as may be charged to You monthly, quarterly or annually.

'Funeral Guide'

means Funeral Guide Ltd, a limited company registered under the Companies Act 2006 and registered in England and Wales with company number 08135813 whose registered office is at Centenary House, Peninsula Park, Rydon Lane, Exeter EX2 7XE, United Kingdom and any employee, officer, agent, or person or corporation authorised to act on behalf of Funeral Guide Ltd.

'Funeral Arranger'

means any person, other than the Funeral Director, that uses the Service with the authorisation of the Funeral Director from time to time.

'Funeral Director'

means the person who registers to use the Service, and, where the context permits, includes any entity on whose behalf that person registers to use the Service.

'Funeral Guide Moderator'

means the person or persons employed or otherwise retained to act as a moderator in respect of this agreement and matters arising therefrom.

'GDPR'

means the General Data Protection Regulations approved by the EU Parliament on 14th April 2016, or any such other regulations or laws applying to data processing or personal privacy that have similar effect.

'Intellectual Property Rights'

means any patent, trademark, service mark, copyright, moral right,

right in a design, know-how and any other intellectual or industrial property rights, anywhere in the world whether or not registered.

'Privacy Policy'

means Funeral Guides ‘Privacy Policy ‘. 'Public Input'

means any photographs, images, graphics, text, audio, video or other materials or content that any Visitor has posted on the Website or Your website or otherwise submitted or made available to Funeral Guide for inclusion in a Review.

'Review'

means a review by a third party of You, Your services or their experience of You and Your staff, posted to the Review Service which may be published on the Website or duplicated or accessed via Your website

'Review Service'

means the service whereby third parties are able to post a Review. 'Review Content'

means the content of a Review posted upon the Website or to the Review Service by a Visitor and/or Your Response thereto. 'Response'

means any response to a Review posted by You or any person connected to You.

'Schedule'

means the schedule hereto and any amendments or addendums to it and net of any deletions to it as agreed between the Funeral Guide and You from time to time.

'Services'

means the services made available to You as set out in the Schedule (as may be changed or updated from time to time by Funeral Guide) via the Website.

'Star Rating'

means a rating system of between one and five stars where five stars is the best rating.

‘Subscription’

means the monthly fee (excluding any taxes and duties) payable by You for the Services (which Funeral Guide may change from time to time upon notice to You).

'Telephone Service'

means a telephone call forwarding service. 'Terms'

means the terms set out in this Agreement. 'Terms of Use'

means Funeral Guide’s ‘Terms of Use‘ for public access to the Website

‘Training’

means the provision of Training via online media or in person, as applicable, by Funeral Guide to You and/or Your Funeral Arrangers 'Visitors'

means any member of the public who accesses the Website or Your website, including, but not limited to, the friends, families and other relatives of deceased persons.

'Website'

means the Internet site at the domain www.Funeral Guide.co.uk or any other site operated by Funeral Guide.

'You'

means the Funeral Director, and where the context permits, a Funeral Arranger. "Your" has a corresponding meaning.

'Your Contact Number'

means a telephone number or numbers selected from Funeral Guide’s list of telephone numbers and listed on Your profile page on the Website. Said numbers may be a central contact point or branch contact point(s) or a combination of both.

'Your Content'

means any content on the Website posted to the Website by You, the

Funeral Director or any Funeral Arranger.

  1. Duration of this Agreement

This Agreement shall be deemed to have begun on the Subscription start date and, subject to termination pursuant to the Terms, shall be for an initial period of 12 months (Initial Term). The Agreement shall automatically extend for a further 12 months (Extended Term) at the end of the Initial Term and at the end of each additional 12-month period, unless terminated pursuant to clause 12.

  1. Use of Software 3.1

Funeral Guide grants You the right to access and use the Services that You have contracted for as set out in the Schedule. This right is non exclusive, non-transferable, and limited by and subject to this Agreement. You acknowledge and agree that:

  1. the Funeral Director determines who is a Funeral Arranger;
  2. the Funeral Director is responsible for all Funeral Arrangers’ use of the Services, and You and or Funeral Guide can revoke a Funeral Arranger’s access, at any time and for any reason.
  1. Funeral Guide’s Obligations

Once You have agreed to the Terms and paid the required fee for usage of the service that month, Funeral Guide will set up Your account and provide the Services.

Setup and Training

  1. Setup and Training

Funeral Guide will:

  • create Your profile: this will be a dedicated page

with information about You, running on the Website; and

  • provide the Services;
  • create secure logins for each of Your Funeral Arrangers.

Profile listing

Funeral Guide may at its sole discretion maintain the profile of Your business on the Funeral Guide website.

  1. Administration and support
  • Funeral Guide shall provide You with online access to metrics showing the performance of, and other administrative information about, the profiles that You create.
  • Technical support will be available from Funeral Guide by email or telephone, as appropriate.
  1. Your Obligations
  1. Payment obligations:
  2. We shall take payment from your nominated bank account via direct debit within the first five days of the month.
  3. Funeral Guide will continue invoicing You monthly until this Agreement is terminated in accordance with clause 12.
  4. You are responsible for payment of all taxes and duties in addition to fees levied by Funeral Guide.
  5. Without prejudice to any other right of Funeral Guide to amend its fees herein, Funeral Guide reserves the right to amend any fee, including but not limited to the Subscription and any other Fees by making reasonable efforts to provide You with at least 2 weeks’ notice of the fee change. If such increase is not acceptable to You, You shall notify Funeral Guide in writing within 7 days of the date of Funeral Guide’s notice and Funeral Guide shall have the right without limiting its other rights or remedies to terminate this Agreement immediately by giving written notice to You. Unless You have served notice on Funeral Guide that the fee change is not accepted as required by this clause, You will be deemed to have agreed to the change.
  1. General Obligations:

5.2.1

You must only use the Services and Website for Your own lawful business purposes, in accordance with these Terms and/or any notice or condition which has been sent to You by Funeral Guide or which is posted on the Website.

  1. Access Conditions:
    1. You must ensure that all usernames and passwords required to access the Services are kept secure and confidential. You must immediately notify Funeral Guide of any unauthorised use of Your passwords or any other breach of security and Funeral Guide shall reset Your passwords and You must take all other actions that Funeral Guide reasonably deems necessary to maintain or enhance the security of Funeral Guide’s computing systems and networks and Your access to the Services.
    2. As a condition of these Terms, when accessing and using the Services, You must:
  • not attempt to undermine the security or integrity of Funeral Guide's computing systems or networks or, where the Services are hosted by a third party, that third party's computing systems and networks;
  • not use, or misuse, the Services

in any way which may impair the functionality of the Services or Website, or other systems used to deliver the Services or impair the ability of any other user to use the Services or Website;

  • not attempt to gain unauthorised access to any materials other than those to which You have been given express permission to access or to the computer

system on which the Services hosting;

  • not transmit, or input into the Website, any files that may damage any other person's computing devices or software, content that may be offensive, or material or Data in violation of any law (including Data or other material protected by copyright or trade secrets which You do not have the right to use);
  • not attempt to modify, copy, adapt, reproduce, disassemble, decompile or reverse engineer any computer programs used to deliver the Services or to operate the Website except as is strictly necessary to use either of them for normal operation; and
    • without prejudice to the forging,

You are responsible for configuring your information technology, computer programmes and platform in order to access the Website. You should use your own virus

protection software. You must not misuse the Website by knowingly

introducing viruses, trojans, worms, logic bombs or other material which is malicious or technologically harmful. You must not attack the Website via a denial-of-service attack or a distributed denial-of service attack or any other attack with the intention of facilitating harm or damage to the Website or damage or loss to its users.

  1. Indemnity:

6.1

You agree to hold Funeral Guide harmless in respect to any Review Content and Your Response;

6.2

You agree to indemnify Funeral Guide on a full indemnify basis against all claims, costs, damage and loss arising from Your breach of any of these Terms or any obligation You may have to Funeral Guide, including (but not limited to) any costs relating to the recovery of any Fees that are due but have not been paid by You and any and all legal costs reasonably incurred by us in relation to any claim made pursuant to these Terms.

6.3

Without prejudice to any other clause in these Terms, You agree to indemnify Funeral Guide on a full indemnity basis against all claims for costs, damage and loss (including loss of profits) or such other remedy brought by any third party, including any award of damages or costs against Funeral Guide, or any costs not recovered by Funeral Guide reasonably incurred in the defence of said action arising from:

  • any of Your Content;
  • Review Content;
  • Response;
  • any content on Your Website that can be accessed via the Website;
  • any breach of warranty by You;
  • any other data, content, or software or firmware that you have distributed or otherwise disseminated

using the Website or Funeral Guide’s computer networks, servers or any other of Our information technology infrastructure

  • any malfunction of or damages to the Website or Funeral Guide’s computer networks, servers or any other of Funeral Guide’s information technology infrastructure and also the computer systems of any third party caused by any malicious act or act in violation of any laws by You.
  1. Public Input
    1. 7.1.

Subject to the Funeral Guide’s Terms of Use and Funeral Guide’s Acceptable Use Policy and Funeral Guide’s Privacy Policy, Visitors shall be able upload Public Input into any Review on the Website including any Review provided pursuant to this agreement and any Review Service.

  1. Licence

7.2.1

On uploading Public Input, the Visitor grants a worldwide, royalty-free and non-exclusive licence(s) in perpetuity to Funeral Guide to use upon the Website, sublicense, distribute, reproduce, modify, adapt, publish, translate, publicly perform and publicly display the Public Input.

Notwithstanding that the Public Input may be incorporated into web pages that will appear to the public a part of Your website, may at any time and without notice remove in full or in part or edit or modify any Public Input.

  1. Legal Action

7.3.1

Without reference to You, Funeral Guide may instigate any legal action to preserve its rights and interests or defend any legal action to preserve rights or to minimise its losses or costs in respect to any Public Input.

  1. Removal Request

7.4.1

In the event that you wish some Public Input to be removed, please contact Funeral Guide in writing explaining what you wish to be removed and why. Removal will be at the sole discretion of Funeral Guide and Funeral Guide

shall be held harmless for any losses incurred by You consequent to the failure of Funeral Guide to remove any Public Input.

Confidentiality and Privacy

  1. 7.1.Confidentiality:

8.1.1

Unless the relevant party has the prior written consent of the other or unless required to do so by law:

  1. Each party will preserve the confidentiality of all Confidential Information of the other obtained in connection with these Terms. Neither party will, without the prior written consent of the other, disclose or make any Confidential Information available to any person, or use the same for its own benefit, other than as contemplated by these Terms.
  2. Each party's obligations under this clause will survive termination of these Terms.
  3. The provisions of clauses (a) and (b) shall not apply to any information which:
    • is or becomes public knowledge other than by a breach of this clause;
    • is received from a third party who lawfully acquired it and who is under no obligation restricting its disclosure;
    • is in the possession of the receiving party without restriction in relation to disclosure before the date of receipt from the disclosing party; or
    • is independently developed

without access to the Confidential Information.

  1. 3.2.Privacy:

Funeral Guide maintains a Privacy Policy, that sets out the parties’

obligations in respect of personal information . You should read that policy and You will be deemed to have accepted that policy when You accept these Terms.

  1. Intellectual Property
    1. 9.1.General:

Save for as provided in this clause 9, Title to, and all Intellectual Property Rights in the Services, the Website and any documentation relating to the Services remain the property of Funeral Guide (or its licensors).

  1. 9.2.Ownership of Data:

Funeral Guide does not claim ownership of any Data that you submit to the Website. In respect of any Data that you submit or make available to Funeral Guide, you grant Funeral Guide a perpetual, irrevocable and fully sub licensable licence to use, distribute, reproduce, modify, adapt, publish, translate, publicly perform and publicly display such content (in whole or in part) and to incorporate such content into other works in any format or medium now known or later developed.

You warrant that You own all intellectual property rights in the Data or that You have licensed all such necessary rights for You to provide the licence pursuant to this clause 9.2. You shall indemnify and keep Funeral Guide fully indemnified for any breach of any third party’s intellectual property rights in respect of any of the Data. Without prejudice to the above, where a third party informs Funeral Guide that any Data breaches their intellectual property rights, Funeral Guide will use its reasonable endeavours to

remove the Data or any part thereof in breach of the third party’s rights without unreasonable delay and You shall be deemed to have agreed to the removal of same.

You warrant that Your Content or any part of it and/or any contact you have with other users of the Website complies with the content standards set out in our Acceptable Use Policy and is not libellous to any person(s), company or group of companies.

  1. 9.3.Changes to the Website

Funeral Guide without notice may at any time change the look, feel and functionality of the Website or suspend access to the Website, or close it indefinitely. For the removal of doubt this includes the pages hosted on the Website but branded in Your livery. Should Funeral Guide close the Website and not replace it with a similar website, Your claim against Funeral Guide in respect of the same shall be limited to repayment of any monies paid in advance for Services that have not been delivered by the

date of closure of the Website which cannot be delivered thereafter.

  1. 9.4.Backup of Data:

You should maintain copies of all Data input into the Services. Funeral Guide adhere to best practice policies and procedures to prevent data loss, including a daily system data back-up regime, but do not make any warranty that there will be no loss of Data. Funeral Guide expressly excludes liability for any loss of Data no matter howsoever caused.

  1. Warranties and Acknowledgements
    1. 10.1.Authority:

You warrant that where You have registered to use the Services on behalf of another person, You have the authority to agree to these Terms on behalf of that person and agree that by registering to use the Services You bind the person on whose behalf You act to the performance of any and all obligations that You become subject to by virtue of these Terms, without limiting Your own personal obligations under these Terms.

Acknowledgement:

You acknowledge that:

  1. You are authorised to use the Services and the Website and to access the information and Data that You input into the Website, including any information or Data input into the Website by any person you have authorised to use the Services. You are also authorised to access the processed information and Data that is made available to You through Your use of the Website and the Services (whether that information and Data is Your own or that of anyone else).
  2. Funeral Guide has no responsibility to any person other than You and nothing in this Agreement confers, or purports to confer, a benefit on any person other than You. If You use the Services or access the Website on behalf of or for the benefit of anyone other than yourself (whether a body corporate or otherwise) you agree that:
    • You are responsible for ensuring that You have the right to do so;
    • You are responsible for authorising any person who is given access to information or

Data, and you agree that Funeral Guide has no obligation to provide any person access to such information or Data without Your authorisation and may refer any requests for information to You to address; and

  • You will indemnify Funeral Guide against any claims or loss relating to:
  • Funeral Guide's refusal to provide any person access to Your information or Data in accordance with these Terms,
  • Funeral Guide’s making available information or Data to any person with Your authorisation.
  1. The provision of, access to, and use of, the Services is on an "as is " basis and at Your own risk.
  2. You agree to indemnify and hold Funeral Guide harmless from any claim or demand, including any legal fees, made by any user (registered or otherwise) or third party due to or arising out of Your breach of these Terms (including any documents incorporated by reference), Your violation of any law or the rights of a third party or any breach of Your representations and warranties as contained herein.
  3. Funeral Guide does not warrant that the use of the Services will be uninterrupted or error free. Among other things, the operation and availability of the systems used for accessing the Services, including public telephone services, computer networks and the Internet, can be unpredictable and may from time to time interfere with or prevent access to the Services. Funeral Guide is not in any way

responsible for any such interference or prevention of Your access or use of the Services.

  1. You remain solely responsible for complying with all applicable tax and other laws. It is Your responsibility to check that storage of and access to your Data via the Website will comply with laws applicable to you.

10.3 Warranties:

10.3.1

Save as provided herein, Funeral Guide gives no warranty about the Services. Without limiting the foregoing, Funeral Guide does not warrant that the Services will meet Your requirements or that it will be suitable for any particular purpose. To avoid doubt, all implied conditions or warranties are excluded in so far as is permitted by law, including (without limitation) warranties of quality, fitness for purpose, title and non-infringement.

10.3.2

You warrant to Funeral Guide that whilst acting as a Data Controller or Data Processor You will comply with all the requirements of the GDPR and You will inform Funeral Guide without delay any breach of or failure to comply with the GDPR by You or any Data Processor acting on Your instructions.

10.3.3

Without prejudice to 10.3.2, You shall:

  • only process data on behalf of Funeral Guide in compliance with Funeral Guide’s written instructions;
  • ensure that, unless agreed in writing with Funeral Guide, any such processing is only completed by Your own staff being subject to a duty of confidence;
  • assist Funeral Guide in the provision to Data Subjects of knowledge of their rights under the GDPR and the exercise of said rights;
  • use Your best endeavours to assist Funeral Guide

in meeting its obligations under the GDPR;

  • immediately inform Funeral Guide of and the extent of any breach of the GDPR concerning any Data Subject whose personal data You have downloaded from the Website or that You have otherwise obtained from Funeral Guide or whose personal

data you have uploaded to the Website or otherwise provided to Funeral Guide; and

  • submit to audits and inspections by Funeral Guide or persons or organisations instructed by Funeral Guide to report on compliance with the GDPR.

10.3.4

You further warrant that You will not sub-contract any processing of Data on behalf of Funeral Guide without Funeral Guide’s specific written consent.

10.3.5

Funeral Guide warrants to you that whilst acting as a Data Controller or Data Processor it will comply with all the requirements of the GDPR and will inform You without delay of any breach of or failure to comply with the GDPR by it where such breach compromises the personal data of Data Subjects that Funeral Guide has supplied to You or personal data any Data Processor that You have provided to Funeral Guide.

10.4 Guarantees:

10.4.1

You warrant and represent that You are acquiring the right to access and use the Services for the purposes of a business.

10.4.2

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Funeral Guide excludes:

  1. any statutory consumer guarantees or legislation intended to protect non-business consumers in any jurisdiction does not apply to the supply of the Services, the Website or these Terms; and

all liability and responsibility to You (or any other person) in contract, tort (including negligence), or otherwise, for any loss (including loss of information, Data, profits and savings) or damage resulting, directly or indirectly, from any use of, or reliance on, the Services or Website.

10.4.3

Without prejudice to clause 10.4.2, Funeral Guide exclude all implied conditions, warranties, representations or other terms that may apply to the Website or any content on it.

  1. Funeral Guide will not be liable to You for any loss or damage, whether in contract, tort (including negligence), breach of statutory duty, or otherwise, even if foreseeable, arising under or in connection with:
    • use of, or inability to use, the Website;
    • use of or reliance on any content displayed on the Website by any party;
    • availability of the Website;
    • any third-party content on the Website or any program, data or such other content (including but not limited to viruses, trojans, worms, logic bombs or other material or by a denial-of-service attack or a distributed denial-of service attack or any other attack) that is malicious or technologically harmful that may have been transmitted to You as a consequence of Your access to

the Website, Funeral Guide servers, networks of other computer or telecommunications infrastructure.

  1. In particular, Funeral Guide will not be liable for:
  • loss of profits, sales, business, or revenue;
  • business interruption;
  • loss of anticipated savings;
  • loss of business opportunity, goodwill or reputation; or
  • any indirect or consequential loss or damage.
  • In particular, Funeral Guide’s aggregate liability to You for all claims whatsoever however arising resulting from any and all events in any 12 month period shall not exceed the aggregate monies (net of Taxes) actually paid by You to Funeral Guide for the Services in the same period.

10.4.4

If You suffer loss or damage as a result of Funeral Guide's negligence or failure to comply with these Terms, any claim by You against Funeral Guide arising from Funeral Guide's negligence or failure will be limited in respect of any one incident, or series of connected incidents, to the Fees paid by You in the previous 12 months.

10.4.5

If You are not satisfied with the Services, Your sole and exclusive remedy is to terminate these Terms in accordance with Clause 12.

  1. Termination
    1. 12.1.On Notice:

Either party to this Agreement may terminate this Agreement on written

notice to the other party not later than 3 months before the end of the current 12 month Subscription period of the Agreement.

  1. 12.2.Breach

If You:

  1. breach any of these Terms (including, without limitation, by non-payment of any Fees) and do not remedy the breach within 14 days after receiving notice of the breach if the breach is capable of being remedied; or
  2. breach any of these Terms and the breach is not capable of being remedied (which includes (without limitation) any payment of Fees that are more than 14 days overdue); or
  3. You or Your business become insolvent or Your business goes into liquidation or has a receiver or manager appointed of any of its assets or if You become insolvent, or make any arrangement with Your creditors, or become subject to any similar insolvency event in any jurisdiction,

then Funeral Guide may take any or all of the following actions, at its sole discretion:

  • Terminate this Agreement and Your use of the Services and the Website;
  • Suspend for any definite or indefinite period of time, Your use of the Services and the Website.
  1. For the avoidance of doubt, if payment of any invoice for Fees is not made in full by the relevant due date, Funeral Guide may suspend or terminate Your use of the Services.
  1. Accrued Rights:

Termination of these Terms is without prejudice to any rights and obligations of the parties accrued up to and including the date of termination. On termination of this Agreement You will:

▪ remain liable for any accrued charges and amounts which become due for payment before or after termination; and

immediately cease to use the Services and the Website.

  1. Expiry or termination:

Clauses 5.1,6,7,8,9,10,11, and 16 survive the expiry or termination of these Terms.

    1. 13.1.Technical Problems:

In the case of technical problems, You should make all reasonable efforts to investigate and diagnose problems before contacting Funeral Guide. If You need technical help, please email Us at:

  • support@funeralguide.co.uk;
  1. 13.2.Services availability:

Funeral Guide does not guarantee that the Website or any content on it will always be available or access will not be interrupted from time to time.

Whilst Funeral Guide intend that the Services should be available 24 hours a day, seven days a week, it is possible that on occasions the Services or Website may be unavailable and such unavailability may be without notice.

Funeral Guide will use its reasonable endeavours to limit the length of time that the Website is unavailable.

  1. Entire agreement:

These Terms, together with Funeral Guide’s Acceptable Use Policy and Funeral Guide’s Privacy Policy and the terms of any other notices or instructions given to You under these Terms , supersede and extinguish all prior agreements, representations (whether oral or written), and understandings and constitute the entire agreement between You and Funeral Guide relating to the Services and the other matters dealt with in these Terms.

  1. Waiver

If either party waives any breach of these Terms, this will not constitute a waiver of any other breach. No waiver will be effective unless made in

writing.

  1. General
    1. 16.1.Delays:

Neither party will be liable for any delay or failure in performance of its obligations under these Terms if the delay or failure is due to any cause outside its reasonable control. This clause does not apply to any obligation to pay money.

  1. 16.2.No Assignment:

You may not assign or transfer any rights to any other person without Funeral Guide's prior written consent.

  1. 16.3.Governing law and jurisdiction:

This Agreement is governed by the laws of England and Wales and You hereby submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales for all disputes arising out of or in connection with this Agreement.

  1. 16.4.Severability:

If any provision of this Agreement (or part of a provision) is found by any court or administrative body of competent jurisdiction to be invalid, unenforceable or illegal, the other provisions shall remain in force. If any invalid, unenforceable or illegal provision would be valid, enforceable or legal if some part of it were deleted, the provision shall apply with whatever modification is necessary to give effect to the commercial intention of the parties.

  1. 16.5.Notices:

Any notice given under these Terms by either party to the other must be in writing by email and will be deemed to have been given on transmission. Notices to Funeral Guide must be sent to:

Schedule Listing Service

Funeral Guide will operate Your Listings Service as follows:

  • Subscribing to the Listing service membership provides You with an online Business Profile Page (“BPP”) on Funeral Guide, that will promote your business in search engines. Changes to the text can be requested, however Funeral Guide may decline requests if they are inconsistent with Funeral Guide’s tone and style.
  • You may add pictures and select the services provided via Your own Funeral Guide dashboard. Once saved, these will appear live on the BPP.
  • The listing will display the estimated cost of a Simple Funeral. Crematoria and cemetery fees are added by Funeral Guide and will form part of the overall estimated price on the Your BPP. We will use our best endeavours to keep these prices up to date, but we are not responsible for any incorrect pricing.
  • The rank/position of a funeral directors BPP on the Funeral Guide listing is determined by an algorithm that Funeral Guide can change at any time.
  • Recent reviews will feature on the BPP.
  • The Listing Service is activated once a direct debit is set up through the Funeral Guide system. An online direct debit provider manages the payment collection process on Funeral Guide's behalf.

Review Service

Funeral Guide will operate Your Review Service as follows:

  • Visitors may submit Reviews and provide a Star Rating in respect of the services you have provided.
  • Reviews with a Star Rating of 4 or 5 stars will be posted online immediately. Posting of reviews with a Star Rating of less than 4 will be delayed for 48

hours to provide You with the opportunity to respond to any issues.

  • You and Your Funeral Arrangers may enter a Response to any Review; such Response will be posted online immediately or on or about the same time the Review is posted online if later.
  • Funeral Guide takes no responsibility and assumes no liability for any content whatsoever posted, stored or uploaded pursuant to the Review Service by any Visitor, by You or any third party, or for any loss or damage thereto, nor is Funeral Guide liable for any mistakes, defamation, omissions, falsehoods, obscenity, or profanity that You or Your staff may encounter.
  • As a provider of this Review Service, Funeral Guide is not liable for any statements, representations or content provided by Visitor, by You or any competitor of Yours (whether or not they are a customer of Funeral Guide) or any third party whosoever whether such content is posted as a Review or as a posting in any public forum, or other interactive area on the Website or on Your Website.
  • Although Funeral Guide has no obligation to screen, edit or monitor any of the Review Content or Your Response or any other posting in any public forum, or other interactive area on the Website or on Your Website, Funeral Guide reserves the right, and has absolute discretion, to remove, screen, translate or edit without notice any content of any kind whatsoever posted or stored on the Website or accessed through it at any time and for any reason, or to have such actions performed by third parties on its behalf.
  • Further, Funeral Guide has no responsibility whatsoever for any losses whether incurred directly or consequentially by You as a result of the posting of any Review Content or the removal, screening, translation or mistranslation or editing of any Review Content by Funeral Guide or caused by the loss of any Content from the Website or access through the Website howsoever caused.
