In loving memory of Thomas George Mason who sadly passed away on 28th March 2022
Former Mayor of Medway, Councillor and affectionately known as the singing barber of Wainscott, passed away peacefully on 28th March 2022, aged 88 years.
Funeral service to take place at The English Martyrs Roman Catholic Church, Frindsbury, on Wednesday 18th May 2022 at 10am followed by burial in Strood Cemetery.
Family flowers only, however donations made be sent if desired with cheques made payable to "The British Heart Foundation" c/o John Weir Funeral Directors, 25 New Road, Chatham, Kent. ME4 4QJ, or via the link on this page.

George used to cut my hair whe I was a little boy 50 years ago. Lovely gent. So sorry to hear of his passing. Best regards the Sheehan family who lived in Ravenswood Ave some 40 hears ago.

  • He was my Uncle married to my father's sister. She cut the ladies hair downstairs and he cut the men's hair upstairs. I was very young but I remember him being a larger than life character who drove a nice Rover. Rip uncle Tom.
