In memory of Joan (and her husband Jack). Such dear friends for so many years and almost grandparents to our two girls. We loved visiting when we were on holiday in France, and they always made us so welcome with their amazing hospitality. The girls especially loved their swimming pool and eating greengages straight off the tree. Rest in peace, dear Joan.

Having shopped with or for Joan for ten years a lot of my memories revolve around the list. Don’t worry I won’t go through everything, just some of the items that are poignant!
Pinot Grigio, Victoria biscuits and bottles of cider, because she was always thinking of others, be it family or her good friend Chris.
La Vache qui ris, I loved that this was always written in French. It does sound better.
Golf biscuits, which were really club biscuits but I will never call them anything else.
And finally,
Elnett - Red (especially on offer) for coloured hair and the trademark Joan cerise flash.
What a woman and my absolute pleasure to know her.

Your kind and beautiful mother, Joan, always made me feel so welcome and part of the family in Haling Park Road, at Trenowyth and whenever we met in later years.
Such a wonderful smile. Such an amazing cook. Such a special person.
