In loving memory of a beloved Father, Brother, Uncle and Friend Michael John Miles who sadly passed away on 23rd February 2022.

For anyone that was lucky enough to know Michael, they'd tell you of his wonderful sense of humour and infectious smile - not a day went passed where he didn't crack a joke. Positivity and warmth radiated from him, wherever he went. A gentleman, one without a bad bone in his body. He will truly be missed beyond belief by all those that knew him.

Michael was born in Otford, Kent to his parents Hilda & George Miles. He was the youngest of 6 children, with he and his siblings being very close. Remaining close to them throughout life, with his brother Kenny and Kenny's boys being his best buds.

Michael spent most of his life in the Sevenoaks area with a number of years in the 80's in Scotland with work. This is where he married and his two children (Lori & Ross) were born. Before then moving back down to Sevenoaks with his young family in the early 90's and going on to enjoy life in the surroundings he knew and loved, and being a little closer to his own family.

Michael was blessed with wonderful friends that he cherished and whom cherish him dearly. He travelled with them, explored with them, shared inside jokes with them and made them his second family. They will be his family - forever.

Michael had a long and prosperous career, dedicating himself to his work. Spending a lengthy time in his younger years in the Ministry of Defence - taking part in many pivotal trials throughout UK and Europe. Then going on to set up his ever flourishing (in all manners of the term) landscaping and horticultural business. Michael created bonds with his clients, that resembled friendships. Working for some of them for 20+ years.

Michael will be remembered for his generosity, loyalty and kindness. He was truly one of life's greats. Taken from us far too soon.

Michael struggled to come to terms with losing his mum and later his partner Sarah, so it is knowing that he will be reunited with them, his father and brother that brings his family and closest friends some kind of comfort.

It is with great sadness and regret that we have to write this. We hope that we can give him the send off he deserves and that those that were blessed to have known him will join his family and closest friends to put him to rest and to celebrate his life.

Attire is as you feel comfortable.

Should you wish to attend his celebration of life, this will be held at The Windmill in Weald from approx 1:30pm on 1st April.

Please feel free to make donations to the chosen charity instead of flowers, and we'd ask that you kindly leave messages of condolence and memories you have of him on this page. These will bring great comfort to his family.

All our love,
The Miles Family

Mick worked in our mum's garden for over 10 years and will be very much missed. Mick was so kind and helpful to mum with her garden and amongst other things stopping ants getting in her house one year - nothing was too much trouble. Mum looked forward to their weekly chats over a coffee and chocolate eclair! Sending our condolences to you all - Mick will remain in our thoughts. Jenny, Andy & Monica Sutcliffe.

We have known Mick through work for many years, not a day goes by that we won't miss him. He used too make us laugh with his jokes when we arrived. He used to say I Sarah looked like she was off to ride her horse and that Lisa was money bags because she had a new car. We have lovely fond memories that will remain with us forever. Miss you so much Mick, we are currently in tears and Lisa's carefully applied makeup has run everywhere which would have made you laugh. Sweet dreams. Sarah and Lisa
