I'm still in shock on hearing of KT's passing.
I have very fond memories of her when she visited Guyana in her younger years and in Canada and when we went to visit with her in England we had loads of fun with her,Cecil,Mark and John and her grand children.
We have many cherished memories of her.
May her soul have eternal rest.
RIP dear Katie.

The first time I met the wonderful Katie, I had her famous pepperpot. I was in the garden having it for breakfast with a sweet bread she had bought. Over the years this wonderful woman, has shown me so much love and I always had to have a shot of rum at her place, whenever I visited. She always showed warmth, kindness and always made me smile. My thoughts and prayers are with you Cecil,Mark,John,Jessica and Matthew and the family.
Veronica,Lawrence and Margaret. Xxx

We first met Katie through our son Aaron, many years ago (1990) when we we were living in London. Aaron became a very close family member due to his friendship with John. When we returned to Canada, Katie “adopted” Aaron - and in her usual warm, generous way made sure that he was always fed and made to feel welcome in their home.
Many years later, Michelle and Mark met.. neither knowing each other existed. Mark not knowing that Aaron had a sister - and Michelle not knowing anything about Mark.. the rest as we all know is history!
However, Katie’s welcomed us and Michelle into her family. Her generosity and kindness was one of a kind. She always has a goodie bag for Aaron of his favourite spices - and a few stern words when needed!
It was indeed a shock to hear of her passing - and most unexpected. Unfortunately Stu, Aaron and I are unable to attend her memorial, but are thoughts are with all her the family and friends.
It is not a time for tears..as we know this is not what Katie would tolerate! So, in memory of Katie we will raise a toast to her memory, love, warmth and kindness to all.. and of course, it has to be El Dorado!!!
To Cecil, John, Mark, Jessica and Matthew - our sincere condolences.
