The only father figure I have ever known. I'm so sad to see both you and your beautiful Annette have both passed. But so pleased to see you got married! I'm so gutted we lost touch. Please know you were always so special to me. I'm so sorry I didn't show it. Much love to you, Annette and, of course, sweet William. I hope you are all together now. Love you xx

John loved cats. Whenever I visited him there was always friendly cat to welcome me and often a stray cat being looked after in a garden shed.
