Uncle Eddie - my husband Nigel's uncle in law - came into my life 41 years ago and slowly and steadily became a very dear part of it. He was a gentle man and a gentleman, always courteous, steadfast, generous (he gave HUGE tips for good service) and even tempered. I only knew him raise his voice over three things - automated holding messages on the phone, taxis that turned up late, and tattoos! A long life and well loved.
