On 4th December 2021, peacefully, Joan aged 86 years of Thurstonland. Beloved wife of the late John and darling mum of Allison and Julie.
Funeral service at St Thomas’ Church Thurstonland on Thursday 6th January 2022 at 11am followed by cremation at Huddersfield Crematorium at 12.15pm. Family flowers only please. Donations if wished may be given for Kirkwood Hospice c/o Radcliffe Funeral Service, 16 Westgate, Honley, Holmfirth, HD9 6AA or online at radcliffefuneralservice.co.uk – obituaries. I was very sorry to hear of Joan's passing. I worked with Joan during my time with the Kirklees Educational Psychology Service in the 1970s and 80s and I remember her as kind and (except under extreme provocation) unfailingly good natured in responding to the trials of supporting a team of itinerant school psychologists. We always kept in touch at Christmas and it is sad to know I won't hear from her again.
My thoughts and condolences are with her family and friends.
