In loving memory of Raymond Moore who sadly passed away on 28th November 2021. Ray was born on 17th June 1939 and lived in Southampton all his life. He was an 18 year old apprenticed electrician when he met Jean by the river at Mansbridge proudly sat on his BSA 250 motorbike. They married 2 years later and had three children, Christopher, Andrea and Debra. For most of his working life he worked for British Rail in Eastleigh and then retired after 30 years. Ray was diagnosed with leukaemia in 2018 and shortly after also developed dementia. He loved music, especially rock n roll and even enjoyed a 'jig' whilst leaning on his zimmer frame! His happiest times were visits with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Jean and Ray were happily married for 62 years.

Remembering lovely Ray, always cheerful, smiling, and pleased to see us. He made everyone feel welcome, which came naturally to him, but really is a special gift and will be very much missed. Much love xxx

Our memories of Ray are happy giggly silly playful ones! Always winding up the kids... making jokes and springing in to dance! I cannot remember a day that he was not jolly and positive, always so caring and thoughtful. What an amazing man and role model for his wonderful family. xxxxx

We will miss you Ray. Always full of fun and ready for a party, especially if dancing was involved. A great family man who we know will be greatly missed.

Dad, so happy we got to take you out down memory lane, one last time. Ending up back home sitting in your chair with a nice cuppa tea and biscuits. Love and miss you lots Chris and Sharon. Xxx

Our lovely Ray, even though we were separated by Miles usually, you were always a good thought in my mind. Now, you era still a good thought in my mind, even though what separates us is in another dimension. I always thought of you as more than just a brother- in- law. You were, in every sense of the word, my brother. I have so many memories of the holidays we all went on, so many wonderful memories. All the laughs we had, so special, as were you. God bless
