In Loving memory of Nigel Bassett who passed away in Derriford Hospital after surviving nearly 8 years of severe disability caused by a near fatal road traffic accident.

Beloved husband of Wendy Bassett, son of Barbara and Ron Andrew, loving father to Konrad and Leonard Bassett. He leaves behind a legacy of love towards all who really knew him.

As a result of the accident, Nigel could not communicate with words, but he maintained his gentle, kind character and often displayed a sense of humor. He was known for his kind, generous and well-mannered personality; always willing to lend a helping hand to those in need. He was very protective towards those he loved.

Your relationship was one I admired. The strength between Wendy and Nigel was so loving, and so beautiful. There are almost no words to describe what a wonderful partnership you are with such love and such strength. Nigel will live on in the memories that will continue to be told xx

We didn't know Nigel for long before his accident, but in that short time we learnt his love for Wendy who he often wrote little poems for and his love of worship music and Jesus. You are home know Nigel and free of all the bodily restriction of the last few years. God Bless you dear friend Love Paul and Sarah

dear Wendy and family, we can only imagine the pain and emptiness now after your long and unfailing fight for Nigel. Perhaps you can find strength in the knowledge that nobody could have loved or done more than you. May Nigel rest in everlasting peace and may you all now find peace in the coming days and months. Bless you.
