It is with great sadness we inform you of the sudden passing of Alan James Paterson.
Loving father to Ami and Ana, son to John and the late Jan, brother to Donna and the late Iain, loved uncle, and a great friend to many. He will be sorely missed by us all and forever in our hearts.
Everyone is welcome to join us for a celebration of his life on Thursday the 14th October at 10am at The Linn Crematorium.
Family flowers only, and we ask that any donations go to a charity of your choice.
Face masks must be worn.

My heartfelt condolences.
Alan was a member of the 95th when I was captain. The first boy in 10 years to gain the Queens Badge. A character sportsman and a fine example to the younger members.

Ami and Ana, I can’t believe I’m having to write this,
I hadn’t seen your dad for a few years but always just assumed we’d catch up when I was in Glasgow one day and, knowing the character he was, it would’ve been like there hadn’t been a day since I last saw him. That’s the quality of rare people like Alan, a true people person who was just fantastic company.
I have endless happy memories of time spent with him, and despite the sadness that I have knowing I’ll never see him again I will always remember him and smile, grateful that we did have some time together.
