Such sad news – gone too soon. So glad we got to see him last month – still cracking jokes, still positive, still making plans.

It’s obvious from the comments how much we all thought of Bill and how much we missed him when we moved office. He really was a true gent who went out of his way for us all, certainly for me and my family on several occasions. Full of charisma, charm and chat – he made us all smile.

It’s lovely to see the photos and comments from his family here – thinking of you all. Sleep well Bill.

Bill was a genuinely lovely man and he is sadly missed. Always smiling and in good humour, and would go out of his way to help any of us in the office. One of life's good guys who is gone far too soon. All thoughts and wishes for strength to his family. X

Totally shocked when I heard the sad news about Bill. He was an amazing guy - always smiling with a positive outlook. His keenness to help you out no matter what is what I will remember most - nothing at all was a bother to him. He had time for everyone. The world has lost a gem.

I was so glad that Bill managed to stop by recently. it was so good to see him and have a chat. He was 'one of the family' in Spectrum House and was always cheerful, joking, and helpful. A friend who was missed from the time we moved offices and will be remembered with affection.

Dear Eileen and family, I was deeply saddened to hear of your loss. I knew Bill from my time at SE Clydebank. Bill was a lovely man, very kind and sincere. He always spoke very highly of you and was very proud of his family. He often spoke about your holidays, which I know he really enjoyed. Please know my thoughts are with you and your family at this sad time. Yours sincerely, Carol
R.I.P. Bill - you'll be missed by many.
