It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden and unexpected passing of Keith Brown, aged 62 years. Well known in Haworth village for his many community ventures, he passed away peacefully in Airedale Hospital on 13th September 2021, surrounded by his loving family. A retired Maths teacher, Keith was renowned for his charm, humour and selfless nature. He inspired many students and will be fondly remembered by all who knew him.

A Service of Thanksgiving will take place on Friday 1st October at 3pm at St Michael and All Angels Church, Haworth. Dress code, colourful - just like Keith!

We ask you to follow current guidelines and do not attend if you feel unwell or have symptoms and please if possible do a lateral flow test on the day to protect any vulnerable people who may be attending. We also kindly ask people to wear a mask in church and hand sanitise on entry.

In lieu of flowers, you may wish to donate to a charity close to Keith's heart - Christian Aid, via the link in this orbituary.

If you would like to watch the service via Zoom, please contact Juliet or Jacqui.

Keith will remain forever in our hearts.

Every time I met Keith he radiated warmth, charm and great humour. He left a great impression on everyone he met. I will always remember his cheeky smile, laughter and twinkle in his eyes. I feel lucky to have met him.

It was a very moving service yesterday, I’m sure Keith would have been very touched. Thank you Jacqui and Juliet for your lovely eulogy. Keith was a great head of department when I was at UWS, he will be missed by many.

Awu, Keith, you went too soon. Like Maireád, I regret that a reunion with you in this life is no longer possible. Hope to again meet in the other life and I will once again gladly "suffer" your witty and very funny humour Mr Brown. From day one when I joined your St Paul's Musami Mission, Zimbabwe CATORUZI Volunteer teacher community, you ensured I felt welcome, supported and loved by all expatriates in the house. The big brother in you always came out protectively and justly so where needed. When I moved to the UK you linked me with some wonderful people who helped me continue my school children counselling in Zim (remotely) by supplying me with stamps for the many letters I had to write pre-social media. So much love to help others in whatever way you could. You were a God-sent special human being and wish God had given you more days on earth. Grateful for the time I knew you. What an honour. To Jacqui, Juliet and Steve, I am sorry for your loss. May God comfort you and may you find solace in the love and memories you had with your lovely Keith. Love, Blantina
