Matt Virgo passed away peacefully on 29th August 2021 Aged 84 years.
Matt will be sadly missed by all those who knew him.

Sadly missed ? I'll say. Matt was a wonderful and dear friend for over 40 yrs, although age and covid interrupted the regular meets we used to have. The last time we spoke he was his usual good humoured self so reading this (prompted by no Christmas card for the first time ever) has come as such a shock. He was a lovely chap and yes, he'll be very sadly missed. Just wish I'd known in time to say good-bye. Always in my thoughts old friend.

Matt was my Grandad, even if it was by marriage, we had the same bond. I have fond memories from my childhood staying at his house where he would let me decorate the annex, or help him grow vegetables in the garden. He was a very positive influence on my life and I made sure he knew this, which always made him smile. I will miss our long chats.

So sorry to learn of Matt's passing. I spoke with him a few weeks ago and was planning to visit. I am so sorry I didnt get the chance to say goodbye. He was a real good friend to Stuart and I shall miss him.
