How has it been almost four years since we said goodbye? ❤️

There have been so many moments this past year when I’ve instinctively reached for my phone to call you or looked for you, and every time you’re not there, my heart aches all over again.

I welcomed your grandson into the world, and how I wish more than anything that he could have met his Grandad. Deep down, I know you’re watching over him—probably teaching him how to be cheeky already. He has so many of your mannerisms and little quirks; it’s like a part of you lives on in him.

Next year, I’ll be marrying Jack. You were always hard to please when it came to the men in my life, but I just know you would have adored him. I feel that in my heart. I hope you're proud of me, Dad—and I hope you're keeping an eye on our little Enzo too.

A year has passed since I saw your lovely happy face, you were a big part of my life and I enjoyed every moment we spent together, it was always full of fun and laughter, the world is a sadder place without you in it. Always in my thoughts.x

A year ago today you passed . it feels like an eternity. I was so glad we had those happy 11 years as it’s those happy memories that keep me going in my darkest of times. You never thought you made a difference to a lot of peoples lives, but you certainly did make an impact . I miss you making me laugh, you had such a great sense of humour. I learned to love all things Suffolk xxxxx

It was a pleasure to know Ian and how much he meant to Miriam and Marcus. We had some great chats and laughs as the boys grew up together and we shared all the cub and scout runs.
