John William Vaughan (22 May 1938 - 12 Jul 2015)

I thank John for littering my childhood with excellent Del boy-esque memories - Alerto Perro and Celestial TV are just a couple which spring to mind. I have fantastic memories of holidays with Uncle John. xxx

I always remember John being the life & soul of family parties; his 'blue suede shoes' dance being a particular highlight and what still makes me laugh is the way he would swear and apologise for his use of bad language before almost immediately swearing again. He also had a touch of Delboy Trotter about him with his own unique use of the English language - R.I.P Uncle John x.

From George: Johnny always made me laugh, even though he wasn't trying to be intentionally funny. He just had a way with words, most of which he apologised for using immediately, which enabled him to get his point across with the minimum of fuss! That's what I'll remember - him talking and me listening. He'll be sadly missed.
