Alice Hervey
Peacefully at Mossvale Care Home on 6th August 2021. Alice beloved wife of George, much loved Mum of Kirsty and Gillian and Gran to Heather, Callum and Keenan.
Alice was born in Blairdardie the eldest of her siblings Catherine, Stewart, Margaret and Linda. She is survived by her daughters Kirsty and Gillian and grandchildren Heather, Callum and Keenan.
Alice fulfilled her dreams of travelling the world and became an Air hostess at the age of 21 where she visited many far away places, some of which people only dreamed of. Alice married George in 1972 and enjoyed many adventures in those 48 years.
Alice had a variety of talents and interests from volunteering on the children's panel, knitting character dolls, ladies nights, making her daughters dance competition outfits, charity events, tap dancing, shaking her bum on the dancefloor at the Golf club (she wasn’t fussed which one - Cawder or Bishopbriggs) and enjoying a glass of wine on a Friday night while watching Golden Girls and Cheers.
The Family would like to thank the members of staff at Mossvale Care Home who looked after Alice for the last 2 years. They would also like to thank everyone for their kind expressions of sympathy.
