Words can never truly express heartfelt emotion, but I'll try. Though we knew each other for most of his working life I never was particularly close.....probably because we worked in different areas. However when we did meet we got on exceptionally well. He was kind, amusing, intelligent witty and, as others have said, a true gentle man. I do wish you could have come up here for a holiday. Our deepest condolansces. Remember though there only seems to be clouds now, the sun is shining beyond them and it will break through again. All our love at this terribly difficult time.
