This page has been set up in memory of a loving husband & Dad; Michael King.
When Mike met our mum in 1987, they embarked on a short but eventful romance resulting in them getting married 8 months later! Mike slotted into our family seamlessly & although we didn't know it at the time, was the missing part to our little family. My mum has always said, that the day she married Mike, was the happiest day of her life. Mike was a family man & became a Dad to us four kids & later became a grandad to 11 grandchildren!
Anyone who knew Mike, knew of his wicked sense of humour - his relentless Donald Duck impression is legendary & the constant wind up's he inflicted on us, will be sorely missed.
Those that knew Mike, will know that he has been ill for some time; in December 2019 he spent some weeks in hospital but never fully recovered. Recently, he has received care at home from the Weston Hospice nurses, who's empathy, comfort & patience was faultless. They were a source of great support to both Mike & to mum. For this reason, all donations will go to Weston Hospice Care & will be greatly received.
Mike was loved a great deal by all those who knew him & his passing has left a void that cannot be filled.
