Ronald Fensome (10 Sep 1930 - 7 Jun 2021)

In loving memory of Ronald Fensome who sadly passed away on 7th June 2021.

Ron as he always preferred- spent his boyhood years growing up in Mansfield, and he was one of five children in the family including Jack, Nellie, Tom and Terry.

He attended High Oakham School and after leaving began work as an apprentice at the now long-gone Shoe Company in Mansfield. He then joined the R.A.F. for his national service duty, and after his initial training he was stationed near Blackpool in Lancashire.Ron finally settled on being an estate agent as a career and spent some 40 years with Holders.

The 20th of December 1958, was a very special day in Ron’s life, for it was on this day that Ron and Brenda were married at Saint John’s Church in Mansfield. Their first home was on Nottingham Road in Mansfield, then followed by a move to Bridgford Street. Later on, Parkland Close would become the family home for many happy years and right up to present times.

Ron and Brenda had three children, Jane, born in 1961, Guy, born in 1962, and Adam, born in 1970.

Ron enjoyed holidays abroad, the theatre, spending time with family and friends and enjoyed bowling at Farnsfield Bowls Club and South Forest.

Ron is remembered with affection by his family and friends.
