Eddie was simply one of the best people I worked with in the police. Having only just got back in contact he was sadly taken from his family and friends. Sweet dreams Eddie .....

My husband Paul and I were part of Eddie's "work family" and I had stayed in contact with him recently united with our love of holidays. I valued his advice on all things to do with a cruise. A kinder, more caring person you could not meet and I will miss his friendship. My condolences to you his real family as your loss must be immense. I will carry him in my thoughts every time I set sail on holiday and raise a cocktail or two to his memory. Rest easy Eddie x

Taken too young. The biggest sadness is he won't see his granddaughter,my daughter, fulfill her potential. She has lost the only granddad she has really known and misses him with all her heart. He done more for me than my own father ever did and he managed to put a ring on my mum's finger. Which wasn't an easy feat to pull off. Go with our love, til we see you and Alfie in the next life, farewell Eddie.

Uncle Eddie was the funniest lovely kind hearted man, I have some wonderful memories growing up, as a kids he would show me his allotment and allow me to try some bits he grew. I would stop to take videos or photos of trains to send to him as I knew he would appreciate seeing them.
RIP uncle Eddie you are sadly missed. Love your niece sarah xxx

Our brother-in-law Eddie will be greatly missed. Over the last 7 years since he retired we all became much closer and for me it feels more like I’ve lost a brother. Eddie, Jean, Jay and I enjoyed many holidays and days out together over the years and his company will be missed. RIP Eddie I’m sure that you have already been doing the rounds chatting to everyone up there! Love Chris and Jay x
