In loving memory of Ronald Derek Burnell who sadly passed away on 8th May 2021

Unfortunately Dad passed away on the 8th May, as you know. He is now back with Mum so at least they are together again

Dad had heart problems for the last 30 years of his life, so instead of sending flowers, we would be grateful if you would consider making a donation to the British Heart Foundation.

I hope we can use this page to share some of our memories and thoughts we all have for Dad and try and remember him for the amazing man he was

Hazel White donated £30 in memory of Ronald

I first met Ron and his brother Ted at the Orchid Ballroom in Purley on 28th July 1951. Then in the September John came home on leave and we started dating. This was followed with quite a lot of cycling to Brighton and other places. In 1954 Margaret joined us and we became the Fab Four.

Can’t believe that you’re gone as well grandad, I’m going to miss both you and nan, I’m grateful for everything you both have done for me, I hope nan is not shouting at you too much about the heat but I’m glad you’re with Nan again, love you both lots

Absolutely heartbroken that we have lost both of you in such a short period of time. There are no words that even begin to describe how I feel. I hope you are watching over me. May you rest in perfect peace together ❤️ I will never forget you xxx

The most gentle and kindest soul I have ever known ❤️ I hope I have made you proud. You were more than a Grandad, you were also a Dad to me and I will be eternally grateful for all your love and kindness. Sorry I didn’t get to say goodbye 💔💔💔

Hayley Wiggins donated £30 in memory of Ronald

I have so many lovely memories to treasure growing up with this lovely gentleman. Be it holidays, outings or our New Year’s Eve parties Uncle Ron was there bringing with him fun and laughter. He was best friends with my dad from school and I was very lucky to have known him for so long too. I know he will now be joining my dad and Auntie Margo playing silly games and laughing with dad about things only they will understand. Rest in peace Ron xx 💛
