In loving memory of Margaret Dorothy (Peggy) Seed who sadly passed away on 9th April 2021,
Peggy was much loved by her family and Church Family at St Simon & St Judes Rainworth where her funeral will take place Wed 28th April 11.30am.

I’m not 100% sure but I think Dorothy was my late mother’s friend from her younger days in Formby. I had been in touch with Dorothy at Christmas but due to life at the moment haven’t been able to call her.
I’ve tried to call but the number has been disconnected so I decided to try and find her via the internet.
I never met Dorothy but my mum (Margaret Ashworth nee Seaford) always spoke with great fondness of her eldest friend and would remember the fun they had growing up during the war years her by the beach - and army camp. Dorothy was the same and after my mother’s passing we spoke regularly.
I hope you get this message and also hope I have the correct Dorothy. My thoughts are with you either way it’s a terrible thing to loose contact and try to reconnect a few months too late.

  • Sorry Keith don't think my Mum, who was always known as Peggy, was your Mums friend. Mum was born in Durham and we moved to Mansfield 1966, Mum was 96. Best Wishes

  • Sorry if I upset you with the message, it wasn’t my intention. I kind of hoped it was your Mum. It was purely by chance that I found this obituary. I am only guessing that the Dorothy I am looking for was actually born in Formby but as you say there is little chance they were the same people. The phone number I had ended with 9111 (Mansfield) All the same I am sorry for your loss. Mums are always the hardest too loose
