Remembering a sincere and lovely friend who we have known for over 45 years, his presence would always light up any social gatherings of the Westward Surf Club, he was our usher for our wedding 44 years ago, we will miss him deeply.

So sad to hear the passing of Brian or Mr Gorrel as we called him which made him laugh ,I worked with him for many years we had some great laughs but I moved away and Brian stayed on up until he retired. Every time I came home I always seen him and had a catch up even though I moved away in 78 because as everyone who knew him woukd always have a chat and a kiss 💋 of course !
I cant believe hes gone far too soon 😢.
Brian my dear friend may you rest in eternal peace with all my love 🙏 💔❤

Brian was a much loved member of the family. He was gentle, caring and had a great sense of humour. His research into our family history was amazing, and his ability to unearth interesting and previously unknown facts was second to none. You will be sorely missed by us all. Rest in peace. xx

Bideford Brian enjoying his lunch at the Pier House, Westward Ho! He had a great appetite and zest for life. Certainly the most well known character in the Bideford area. Bideford mourns for you Brian.

Brian and Peter on the Puffing Billy track, Westward Ho! 12 July 2018. Brian loved walking and his favourite seat was on the track to Greencliff that looked out along the bay to Buck's Mills, Clovelly and Hartland Point.
