Haze and Martyn Evans wrote

With deepest sympathy to you all. We remember Margaret with respect and deep affection. Everything she was and did. One of the sweetest, caring and most intelligent people I was lucky enough to meet briefly as a child then later as an adult in East Peckham.

To the family of Margaret Lawrence .I am sad to know of her passing . I only met her once at Remembrance Sunday some years ago now . Her work on The History of the men named on the War Memorial brought about the meeting . My Father And Uncle Frank Hardy and Ernest Boorma n being among those named . • How very kind. Our mother worked for so many years researching this book. We are preserving her archives and setting up a charity to ensure that her research on this and so much other local history is available to others going forward. • I’ve only just seen that Margaret has passed away. She was my guide and friend over a decade in the 90’s when I traced my mother’s history. My mother was a Henham from the Grove House Henhams. Margaret was brilliant. My delayed commiserations. Simon Doyle

I have today discovered Church of St Michael East Peckham and the delightfully informative book 'For all the saints' . I googled the name of Margaret Lawrence , in order to send thanks and praise for the book and found this notice. My sincere condolences to all who grieve and my thanks to the lady for creating the book. May you rest in peace with Gods love, always.

  • Hello Sharon, I’ve tried to send you an email on the address you posted, but it keeps returning as a fault. Have you changed emails?
