In loving memory of Mark Anthony Lewis who sadly passed away on 26th January 2021

Mark was a very much loved and adored Husband, Father, Grampy, Brother and friend who will be sorely missed by all who knew him.

My dad was an incredible man, there are no words to describe how much he meant to me and all of his family, friends and anyone whose life he touched. His passing has been deeply felt by so many showing how loved and admired he was. My dad was always very positive, never without a one liner or anecdote and there was never any self-pity during the hard fought and long struggle with his illness. While others may have crumbled when faced with the circumstances and hardships that were so undeservedly dealt to him, he lived every moment to the full, experienced so many amazing things, achieved new goals and always made the lives of those who knew him all the brighter. The world was a better place with him by our side.

Due to Covid restrictions a private service is being held on Thursday 18th February at Christ Church Worton (there will be a short procession along High Street, Worton) followed by a cremation service at West Wiltshire Crematorium, Semington. The services will be live streamed via video link which will be made available.

Any donations kindly given in Marks memory will be shared between Christ Church, Worton and Dorothy House.

To a dear friend. We'll miss our holidays in Nth Cyprus together. Lounging by the pool, eating out and watching the rugby world cup at 7am with beer & bacon butties. Your wicked sense of humour was legendary and you were totally inspirational. Sending love to Gail, Ieuan & Rhi at this sad time

Devizes Town Cycling Club donated £380 in memory of Mark

Devizes Town Cycling Club members were very sorry to hear of Mark's passing. Mark was an extremely popular member of the Club and was always willing to volunteer to take on responsibility, whether it involved organising and supporting events, or supporting and helping Club members on a range of topics both cycling and non-cycling related.

On Club rides, Mark enjoyed riding with the main group but was always happy to join slower riders giving them encouragement and support often with a healthy injection of humour!

We all enjoyed hearing about Mark's cycling trips in the UK, Europe, the USA, Canada and Wales of course!

Mark was very popular and a great friend to the Club, we will all miss him.

Mark. You came In to our lives 15 years ago. You made my life long best friend Gail so very very happy. You also came into my, Jack and Ellies lives at a difficult time and just scooped us up ... always there, good advice, help, baby sitting, picking up from school when i was stuck , generosity of soul and much treasured .... lots of laughs in bucket loads . You became what Jack & Ellie treasure ... the father figure that they respect and will always always treasure. We will miss you soo much.
