In loving memory of David John Hutchins who sadly passed away on 4th January 2021
David John Hutchins a devoted father to 3 David, Adam, Julie and beloved late wife Josephine and 7 grandchildren from Bermondsey London, has passed away at the age of 82.
He liked tinkering and making things especially out of wood, he would work in his cupboard building models, cabinets and frames, for family and friends. He also had an endless supply of broken time pieces that he would like to try fix, and antique guns and swords. He also had interests in everything science, sports and politics, keeping in touch with the world and local news. He loved having a good chat with a cup of tea.
David after finishing his national service in the REME corps Oct 24th 1962, worked all of his life as a Sheet Metal Engineer, working only ever for 2 companies until he retired. During his retirement David enjoyed using his bus pass to visit areas, where he would take photographs, of ships, nature and anything of history.
He loved a good market and trips to Manzie pie 'n' mash.
Most important he loved his family building memories with them, enjoying the parties and get togethers, trips out, and never wanting his family to worry or fuss about him. He was a very loving, proud, independent and stubborn man, always smiling never asking for help.
His comments would always be, ''don't worry about me," "look after yourselves," and "I'll run you round the block any day."
