Janet June Georgina Stephenson (4 Jun 1946 - 26 Dec 2020)

In loving memory of Janet June Georgina Stephenson who sadly passed away on 26th December 2020.
Born in Chatham, eldest daughter of Betty and Andrew.
Husband of Brian who she was married to for over 50 years.
Mother to Brenda and Carol, Nan to Kieran, Mother in Law to Jason, Sister to Lillian & Step Sister to Danny, Peter & Eileen.
Janet grew up in the Medway Towns.
Janet was mainly a stay at home Mum but did work as a school cook for quite a few years. Before retiring she helped out at a friends hairdressing salon, she really enjoyed this.
Janet loved being surrounded by children. She would often take the girls and half the neighbourhood children to the cinema on her own on the bus as she didn’t drive.
She would always help anyone in need and would put others before herself and was supportive of her family.
Janet’s health started to deteriorate about 5 years ago when she was diagnosed with dementia. Janet never came to terms with her illness and the last 20 months she resided at Hollylodge Care Home in Chatham, where she certainly kept the staff on their toes.
Janet is now at peace and will be dearly missed by all that knew her.
