Mum was always the life of the party. She loved nothing more than to entertain with her amazing food and after, sit down with a decent cup of coffee. Before mum's disability took over, she was known for her Coffee Merchant shop in The Royal Star Arcade, Maidstone. The amount of people that remember her from there is pretty impressive. It seems whenever I mention it, people automatically remember the smell of her shop and tell me of their fond memories. As we all know, mum wasn't well towards the end of her life. If there is one thing to take away from this tragedy, it's that she is no longer in pain. Her family and friends loved her so much and it is this legacy that she will leave behind. Rest in peace mum. Love from your three children. We will always have you in our hearts.

Maria you have gone now, I watched your body in a box covered with beautiful flowers but I know you are flying high in the sky free from pain. I imagine your smile, I remember those laughs and giggles as light as the bubbles of the sparkling wine we bought in France. The smell and taste of your cooking, I wish we had more. Your pride and love when you showed me your baby granddaughter pictures. Your forever plans to travel and live your life in spite of everything. Till we meet again, goodbye my friend.
