In loving memory of the late John Frederick Lynch who sadly passed away on 10th June 2015
Dad will be missed by all who knew him. He was an amazing Dad, a wonderful Grandad and an all round special man.
Dad was a retired Fire Officer having served in both the London Fire Brigade and Cambridgeshire Fire & Rescue Service.
Dad leaves us to join his Wife and Son who he has missed dearly and we know they will be reunited and happy in a place we can only imagine is more beautiful than ours. Love you Dad. Xx

Feel no guilt in laughter,
He knows how much you care,
Feel no sorrow in a smile
That he's not there to share.

You cannot grieve forever,
He wouldn't want you to,
He'd hope that you would carry on
The way you always do.

So talk about the good times
And the way you showed you cared,
The days you spent together,
All the happiness you shared.

Let memories surround you,
A word someone may say,
Will suddenly recapture
A time, an hour, a day.

That brings him back as clearly
As though he were still here
And fills you with the feeling
That he is always near.

For if you keep those moments,
You will never be apart
And he will live forever,
Locked safe within your heart.

God bless you all, with much love from Sharon Rawlings and family x.

To John,

We came today to say “goodbye”,
We had a laugh, we had a cry.
All your family and friends were there,
The crem. was packed not a seat to spare.
The service was lovely, we sang out loud
The kids most certainly did you proud.

The funeral is over, and we are left to grieve,
But happy you’re back with Sandra and Steve.
So give them our love, hope you all take care,
One day we’ll also climb the big stair,
Then we’ll all be together, in heaven on high,
And we’ll have a huge party, to light up the sky.

Love from The Rodriguez Family xxx

Life goes on and takes our friends but it can't take our memories. John was a lovely man and he made us smile, especially each morning with his hilarious 'Facebook' messages. And Dave has lost another beer buddie.

Everyone of us are better people for having known you John. You were an 'all round' lovely man
You came into our lives as a friend and neighbour and together with dear Sandra we shared some hilarious times didn't we?
One party round yours that springs to mind is when, after a few beers you decided to put us all through the pain of listening to your prize Des O'Connor record on your state of the art 'HiFi System' on wheels .
However, your joy and our pain didn't last very long, because as dear 'Des' was singing his heart out, smoke began to bellow from the back of the Hi Fi.
However, we all felt safe - you knew the drill - you didn't think it necessary for us to evacuate the building so we all just stood back cheered and raised our glasses as you fearlessly unplugged poor old 'smoking Des' and wheeled him out into the garden - You were gutted - can't say that we were.

I served with John in Ops at SHQ. He was such a decent man in every way, a real Star! A great sense of humour, at tea breaks or at the end of each day, he always left us with a proper good laugh. It really helped. A proper family guy ,Sandra was lovely too! I have to mention Steve another Star, great memories road racing with him in the CFRS team such a nice young man. Love to you all.

I was fortunate to have served with John, whilst serving at S.H.Q.
He was a gentleman, and an excellent Officer, because, to me , he cared about the fire-fighters and their families.
R.I.P. John, with those who have gone before, you made a difference !

I met John through David And Steve, he had left the service before I joined but heard plenty about him and only good. He was part of the old school and I always wished I could have served with such a gentleman and fireman and spent more time hearing his tales and of course his jokes. A kind and respectful man that will most surely be missed but knowing your with Sandra and Steve brings comfort, sleep well John.

Will always have fond memories of John from when I met him as a young fire fighter in the 80's. He was "old school" and whilst he had gone for promotion he always treat fire fighters with respect and always treat you as an equal.
In the fire service structure I have always though the rank demands respect but the person wearing it earns it.
John earned everyone's respect and was held in very high esteem by those of us who were lucky to serve alongside him.
Rest in piece and my thoughts are with his family and friends at this time.
