In loving memory of Stephen Jesse Clarkstone who sadly passed away at home on 27th October 2020 aged 71 from chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD).

Steve a retired Contracts Director, is survived by wife Colleen, son Brendon, daughter-in-law Nina, daughter Donna, son-in-law Desmond, grandchildren Harper, Jasper, Gracie and Lily.

Steve was born on 19th September 1949 to Ivy and Arthur Clarkstone and spent the first ten years of his life living in the Meadows, Nottingham. He moved to East Leake aged 10 and attended Lantern Lane school for the last year of his primary education. He passed the eleven-plus examination and went on to attend Loughborough College School where he was able to develop his love for sports.

On 10th April 1971 he married Colleen, whom he had met on 28th Dec 1964. In January 1973 they welcomed Brendon, followed by Donna in July of 1976.

He continued to play football into adulthood and eventually went on to manage football teams for Brookside Primary School, the East Leake Bantams and various adults sides including East Leake Amateurs, The Three Horseshoes and East Leake Athletic.

He will be deeply missed by his family, friends and all who knew him.

A funeral service is scheduled for 10.30am on Tuesday 17th November at St Mary's Church, East Leake, followed by interment at the East Leake Burial Ground on West Leake Road at 11.30am. Due to current government restrictions, attendance to the church service is limited by invitation only. However, all are welcome to the Burial Ground providing social distancing is observed.

Please make any charitable donations to The British Lung Foundation.

Colleen and family would like to thank all of the healthcare professionals who supported Steve with his treatment of COPD and all friends, family and neighbours for their kind support.
