In loving memory of Margaret Williams who passed away peacefully at Beech Lawn Nursing Home, Liskeard, Cornwall, on Tuesday 6th October 2020, aged 68 years.

It is hard to summarise a life that was packed so full - travel, the Methodist Church, Scouts, Guides, U3A, Street Pastors, the Amity Foundation to name but a few - and all after ‘retirement’. Saying, “No!” was never in Mum’s repertoire and yet she somehow found the time for anyone and everyone. The cards and tributes that have been received so far show just how many lives she touched and the numerous circles in which she moved - the words are so very special and will be treasured by family for years to come - thank you.

An incredibly giving person who was more than happy to share her wealth of knowledge in many areas of expertise - from her teaching using her scientific academia through to her teachings involving theological discussion. With a sense of humour that loved a thoughtful twist and a bad pun, she entered into everything she did with gusto and enthusiasm for making a difference to other people’s lives. She was patient, compassionate and had the time for all and will be sorely missed by family and friends.

A very special thank you to the wonderful doctors, nurses and carers of the NHS in Leicester and in Derriford, with an even bigger thank you to the incredible staff at Beech Lawn Nursing Home, Liskeard - you will be forever in our hearts and minds.

Due to the COVID-19 restrictions, a private funeral will be held. It is her family’s intention to hold a Memorial Service for friends and family in Loughborough when circumstances allow. Details of this will be published at the time.

Margaret looked after me at my first ever Methodist Conference and was so kind and warm. I was so sad to hear today that she has died. Grant eternal rest unto Margaret, O Lord, and let light perpetual shine upon her.
