In loving memory of Gary Christopher Daunt who sadly passed away on 11th September 2020

My Dad my hero my mate! - love you geeza!

Gazza was a rogue loved a drink and a gamble - however in later life was a good father to me and a good "garmpa" to my kids.... I spent untold time with my Dad and we covered lots of subjects beliefs, feelings, fears... We also got super pissed at times and staggered home together.
He was a comical complicated man with specific ways of doing things his way.
He made lots of friends at work places and was the joker who did not really take anything very seriously.
He is incredibly missed by me and my family leaving a painful large void in our lives and the house is not the same place anymore.
I miss you pal and

What can I say? You were, my sons bloodline, his grandpa and our friend. Your home was his first home. He came early while you were living your best life in Thailand but still you couldnt wait to get back to meet him. From the minute you came home, you doted on him and the two of you had a bond that could not be broken. You helped me so much being a first time mum, you were always there for us. We had some great times together even pre Liam.....Night's out at the races dancing the night away to madness, days out at the races, drinking champagne, even clubbing in ayia napa! The last few years our times together became fewer and not quite so adventurous but the fact that you are no longer hear for a phone call or a coffee and chat is heart breaking and I miss you loads but having your grandson, I will be forever grateful that I will always have a part of you with me and your memory will live on. Always. Love you and will never forget you or the times we shared x

I know how much Carla like many others thought of you Gary and how very special you were to Liam who worshipped you and you will be missed so much by him and your son Chris and many others. Growing up on a road where real dad's were few and far between, you were the only one that could stop your two boys from tearing chunks out of each other. Funny, strong and powerful, a proper dad's dad. You'll be truly missed.
