When I first moved to Cropwell Bishop from Kent, Rick and his dear wife Irene, were the first friends I made, making me feel so welcome in this wonderful village, so far, for me, from “home”. We have remained good friends ever since, having shared many a cup of tea or coffee, or glass of wine or spirits in their front room. Rick was such a lovely man, always happy to help with anything, always good for a laugh and always with that cheeky glint in his eye. Both myself, and Caroline will miss Rick but will remember him fondly for the rest of our lives.
