I was very sorry to hear the sad news. I live in America now and haven't seen John for about ten years but we did get to speak occasionally. He was a genuine, decent and lovely man. Rest in peace John. My condolences to you, Catherine and Michael. I will remember your Dad in my prayers.

To Michael and Catherine may I offer my sincere condolences on the said loss of your beloved father, my thoughts and prayers are with you at this time. He leaves behind a family whom he dearly loved and was justly proud and was delighted to be able to go to see you and get to know his dear little grandchildren, which gave him such happy memories.

Words are hard to find and never adequate but I will always cherish the memory of him, he was such a lovely person. In recent times he had a lot of health problems and bore them with courage and patience. I will miss the chats we had over the telephone, even though we couldn't see each other we would have long conversations mostly reminiscing about happier days.

May he rest in peace - forever in my thoughts. Love Pam x

Its only when someone leaves your life that you are left struck with just how much they meant to you - I miss my 'Uncle' John terribly, even though we didn't see each other in latter years.

I remember with fondness your impromtu visits to see Mum and Dad when I was younger. Playing with Michael in the garden - and it was extra special when baby Catherine arrived.
Then when my dad passed, you used to come to visit, to check I was ok. It was always fun times when you were around and spirits were lifted.

Thank you for all the funny times and good humour over days gone by. Even
when there was nothing funny to say, your smiling made us want to giggle.

Rest in Peace John - you are very much missed by all whose lives you touched.

Love Sandra xxx
