A tribute to Jeannette Sharpe (Jean) who died on 4th Aug 2020 aged 75.

Jean was born in North Wales and grew up in the small town of Caergwrle, a fact she was proud of always. Many times stories have been retold of happy times with her brother Lloyd as children. At the age of 17, Jean joined the RAF, something that heralded the start of her lifetime journey and ultimately finding her way to John (Sharpe) with whom she spent 37 wonderful and loving years. Some may recall the newsagents on Windermere Avenue, JN & J Sharpe, where they worked hard to serve the community until John retired and the shop was sold. Jean and John were joined at the hip, spending time holidaying and just enjoying each others company. Jean was a sister, mother, grandmother and even great-grandmother, but her role as wife to John gave her many of her happiest times.

Despite her own frailty, Jean demonstrated huge strength in becoming primary carer at a time when her daughter, Lesley, became ill determined always to maintain the greatest of emotional support for Lesley's son, Joe.

Jean knew that she was approaching her final days yet her only concerns was to make plans to take care of her beloved John, give counsel and words of comfort to her family and find peace within herself.

Jean leaves behind a family who will always treasure her memory.

The family would like to thank all of the care givers who supported Jean in her final weeks. She valued everything you did.
