In loving memory of Bernadette “Berna” Woodward who sadly passed away on 27th July 2020. Berna was a loving Mum and Nanny who will be missed by many.
Berna leaves us with many great memories and she will be forever in our hearts and in our minds.
Details of the funeral can be found on this page. We are restricted to 30 people attending due to Covid restrictions.
Rather than providing flowers we suggest you make a donation to Midland Mencap, which was a charity close to Berna’s heart but feel free to give flowers if you prefer. Should you wish to make a donation this can be done via this page or in person at the church.

Nanny Berna you were an amazing strong women with a bold personality and a warming heart. you would greet me at your door when ever we came to visit from half way across the globe. I'm sad that I won't be able to be there at the funeral to say goodbye but I'll be thinking of you. Thanks for everything Nanny Berna.

Elsie- your much loving grand daughter.

Dear Nanny Berna, I am so grateful and lucky to have you as my grandmother. You were loving, strong and just a force of nature. I miss you so much but fortunately I have many great memories that I will always hold close to my heart forever. I'm going to miss seeing you when we come back to England but you will always be with me and the rest of our family in spirit. Love Sadie xo

Dear Berna, I am so grateful for you. You welcomed me into the family instantly. Happy memories of chatting to you on the couch (even though our thick accents made for some funny miscommunication in the early days!). You were so loving and selfless when we moved away, even though it can't have been easy for you. You are very special and we will talk lovingly about you to your grandkids always.
