In loving memory of Elizabeth Hadfield who sadly passed away on 16th July 2020

Eleanor Cheung wrote

I am so sorry to find out that Mrs Hadfield has passed away... i knew her through St Felix from our EFL class, and she certainly had made strong impressions on those who attended her class!
i've been away from the uk for many years, and did not manage to keep in touch after i left. i'm planning to visit the uk this sept, and was wondering if there may be a slim chance for me to find her via the internet... alas, it's her obituary page; i wish i could be in touch earlier :(
however, it's consoling to see her photos in her old age, and i take that she has been happy till the end! May she rest in peace!

Granny Elizabeth❤️ From the Telletubies birthday cake you made me when that was my favourite TV show, to your fantastic fashion and all the clothes I have from you (which I will continue to wear with pride), our fond memories together will not fade. xx

I was saddened to hear the news of Aunty Elizabeth. I have fond memories of staying with her as a young boy and managing to get lost in Southwold, despite the rather obvious light house, to guide me! Also happy memories of family get togethers in Bournemouth. My thoughts will be with you.

I have nothing but happy memories, of time spent with my Auntie Elizabeth when I was younger. She was a lovely, elegant lady with a wonderful, vivacious personality and a sparkle in her eye.
I had some fabulous times with her from visiting London, Suffolk and even to southern Spain! Sadly, we cannot be at the funeral - but we will be thinking about you all at such a sad time.
With love from - Julie, James and Thomas x

So many memories of Elizabeth, we wouldn’t know where to start. Since Richard, our father, died nearly seven years ago, Elizabeth frequently thanked us for as she put it, “sticking by me.” She said we could have simply walked away, but why would we do that? She was great company, good fun and very wise. If we needed an opinion on anything Elizabeth was the one to mull it over with.

We will miss you, and thank you for everything. May you Rest in Peace.

Deb and Les

Elizabeth was a genuine fighter and never gave up on anything. She treasured her independence immensely. She was the very symbol of British stoicism, which I admired tremendously.
Thanks for the fond memories of hot French summer holidays!
Rest in peace!

My cousin said this about Elizabeth last night… "She always looked so elegant & sophisticated, & was so nice to chat to…"
Mum would have loved to hear this…!
She always cared about her appearance, & even towards the end, when she was over 90, we always knew it was a "good" day, if she had changed her top, & had put her lipstick on… 👄

Elizabeth was a great friend of my Mother's and I will remember Elizabeth with much fondness from my childhood when I used to go over to Walberswick to play with Gale. Elizabeth was kind enough to take me on holiday to Ireland and I have very happy memories of that holiday and still think about it from time to time. One day She took me to Orford and decided that I needed to try an Oyster -I was not impressed! but above all I remember the evenings spent with her, Reggie and Gale watching Val Doonican on a Saturday night. Yes I do have some very happy memories of her and was pleased to reconnect and see her again at her home in Ipswich a few years ago.
