In loving memory of William Henry Holbrook who sadly passed away on 14th April 2020. Bill, Billy boy, Bill-a-Bong, whatever you called my dad, he was a well liked/loved character. He loved spending time with family & enjoyed entertaining. He was the life & soul of the party & you could often catch him singing his heart out on his karaoke machine (usually Elvis). He was a successful business man & liked to make time for his hobbies which were flying (light aircraft & helicopters), snooker & Grand Prix motor racing. He loved life!

Such fun and fond memories of the times spent with my Uncle Bill. Too many special moments but the Helicopter Ride, Portugal holiday, boozy Silverstone day come to mind. You were such a huge happy part of my childhood and always so cheerful and entertaining. A great friend to my Dad (Den Boy) too. Always in our hearts x

they walk beside us everyday,
unseen, unheard, but always near ,still loved ,

My friendship with Bill started aged 12 at school and lasted right through till the end, Bill or as our dear departed friend Alfie Godden called him Willy Ham Hen! was the life and sole of the party , Bill would be my pillion rider on my first motorbike aged 17 and we had many trips to the coast,we worked together in Newbury around about 1963 and had many laughes, it was whit great sadness to me the last time we met up in ThePhilippines two years ago to watch his health failing, he called me the lucky one! Bill was and will always be my number one true friend, I prey he is at peace now, your friend(in case you have forgotten my name haha) Roy Webb

Lots of great memories of you Bill. Watched the moon landing live with you, dug ponds together, went on milk rounds and when I was very young you stuck me on a pig which carted me off ! Later on you were a very nervous best man when I married Jane. Always a great host, a lively joke teller and fun to be with.Rest well now, but keep singing.

We will always remember you as the life and soul of a party who filled a room with laughter. Your mischievous smile normally came before a prank. As a child I have many memories, fast rides in your car, visits to St Paul’s cathedral and family Christmas parties which usually involved you playing jokes. I remember you dancing round some chocolate finger biscuits on a plate singing rude words to a popular song of the time and Nan telling you off! You frightened the pants off my dad flying him to Biggin Hill, a story he loved to tell us. May you continue to bring joy and laughter to those you are reunited with on the other side ❤️. Until we meet again we send you lots of love Sarah, Andy and Jamie xxx

The world has lost a true hero. I hope you rest easy up there, Granddad! I will forever cherish my favourite memories with you. I will never forget all the laughs, tears and I will definitely never forget the way your voice sounds when you'd sing! ❤️
