In loving memory of Andrea Ellen Lomas

The angels came for our beautiful, courageous Andrea, aged 37, on Monday the 13th of July after a very short battle with cancer. Throughout her illness she was surrounded by love and the support of her family and friends.

Andrea is the beloved wife of Graham, amazing mummy to Grace, Faith, Arthur and to heavenly babies Charlie and Henry, cherished daughter, and sister as well as a fun Auntie.

Andrea was born on a cold, snowy night on the 13th of January 1983 to George and Fran. She was later joined by her brother Adam. She always loved being the eldest.

She went to Luton Infant and Junior School in Chatham and then onto Fort Pitt after which she attended Greenwich University, gaining many qualifications along the way.

Andrea married Graham on the 9th of August 2014. It was a magical day full of sunshine, love and laughter.

She loved life and lived it to the fullest. Andrea had a range of careers including working in Greece for six months and at the Wimbledon championships much to the delight of her sport mad family. She loved working but her happiest times were always spending time with her family and friends. However, her love for her children is endless and will be a bond never forgotten or broken. They will always be her greatest achievement in life, and she will live on in them.

Andrea was an avid reader and read books by the dozen, but she just loved to bake. Her cakes were always amazing and tasted divine. She had a real gift and imagination. Andrea was an active member of the school PTA always supporting her children’s journey through school.

Dancing, swimming and the sea have always played a huge part in Andreas life. She was a great distance swimmer as well as a shy lifesaver. She won many medals and was twice recognised by the swimathon charity for her efforts. Many hours were spent in the dance studio, in the water or at the seaside. Her place to go was always by the sea.

Andrea is an inspiration to so many. She has touched so many lives with her kindness, friendship and honesty that she will forever leave a lasting impression and wonderful memories for all who knew her. She will be sorely missed each and every day.

Andrea always left a little bit of sparkle wherever she went. She left us much too soon but will forever be in our hearts. We all love you so very much beautiful girl.

Due to the current circumstances we are limited by the government guidelines as to attendance at her final journey. We are in the process of organising that. There will be a link so that you may join us and we will add that when we know. We will let you know the route and timings as we have been asked about standing along the route. Which would need to be in accordance with guidelines. Andreas final journey will be the 5th August.

We now have the details of Our Beautiful Andreas final journey on the Wednesday 5th August.
As many have asked to be able to pay their respects as she makes her way.
She will leave home at 10.15am
The route she will follow will be from Grange Road turning right onto Ingram road.
Right at the Strand roundabout to follow the road along to the Lower Rainham Road continuing onto Upchurch to arrive at 10.45 at the church St Mary the Virgin.
The immediate family will after the service then make their way to Medway Crematorium at Bluebell Hill for 12.15.

Please note that this will be live and unedited for friends to feel that they can be there on the day which Andrea wanted people to share her day with. After this the crematorium service will be held in private with immediate family only.

Thank you for your patience while we have been dealing getting this all sorted and making Andreas final journey the special day she wanted.

As a family we would like to say a heartfelt thank you for all of the flowers cards and the kind wishes and support over the past few weeks. It has truly helped during the most devasting time.
We were overwhelmed by the presence of so many along the way and at the church and crematorium as we took Andrea on her final journey. As a family we thank all those who were able to be with us in person, online or wherever you may have taken the time to join us in your thoughts.
Our beautiful Andrea will always remain in our hearts forever as she now rests in her sleeping place. We all love you Angel girl xxx
