Michael Brinley Holmes Roberts (27 Mar 1960 - 24 May 2015)

Many thanks for all your support and friendship over the years. I will never forget the day you appeared in the ward just after Joe broke his leg and the fun you had that day while he was hanging around on traction. We will all miss you, all our love. Kay, Steve, Joe and Bee.

You gave Vern and me so many happy memories as you grew up I will miss you.

Sorry I couldn't be their on Friday to say goodbye but didn't fancy bringing the kids. They say it always happens to the good guys and it's so true in this case.
ive got so many memories of you that make me smile. You and Melvyn taking the piss out of my crappy barmaid skills (£5 coin comes to mind)
Also if it wasn't for you I wouldn't of passed my exams in the end or even got my job. You helped me with my coursework and cv as my dad was away. You didn't have too as you were busy but that was just the type of bloke you were. Always putting others first.

Mike was so approachable and had a wealth of knowledge which was invaluable. Best of all, his humour got us through some tedious meetings! Much missed.

I Had the pleasure of sharing a house with Mike in the mid 80's and one thing that can be said was life was never dull... From the day his supposedly parked car on the drive overtook him before he reached the front door of the house to the day the hamster ate his favourite sweat shirt that had been left too close to the cage.. He was not domesticated, an accident waiting to happen most days and despite Jenny and my best efforts at house training.. Emptying the bin was our final conclusion to his capability. A kind and generous man who served the club as treasurer for a number of years. A Vice President and supporter for many more. The players and members wish to pass their condolences to Mikes family. a sad loss indeed.

My favourite memory of Mike was the story he told about a woman who brought her horse into the local pub on Christmas Day. He had me laughing for ages. Mike always had a way with words and a great sense of humour. Gone but never forgotten x
