I knew John, mostly from the BHBIA events and conferences, and from working with / for him. We had not spoken for a while - I guess as paths change and unimportant things take over. I remember him for his generosity of time, and the skirmishes of wit that made speaking with him so enjoyable. I learnt a lot from this chap - he gave all he met a voice and he was a great listener. I shall miss him. Richard

John - You were the kindest, most thoughtful and rarest of gentlemen. Your humour, attitude to life and candor will be sorely missed.

I am very grateful I had the chance to work with John early in his career. He was such a bright person in every way. He was a pleasure to work with and to know over his time in our industry, he will be sorely missed. John has been taken far too early from us as an industry but more importantly from his family, my heart goes out to them at this sad time.
